The tour was provided in English and in Swedish. It was included in the entrance fee, so I would recommend joining the tour! Plus, the entrance fee to the museum is also included. They display so much information in the museum.
It was very surprised in a good way that they dress really like real Vikings and demonstrate their lifestyle. Well done, Vikings 😀🇸🇪🙌

ビルカでまずびっくりしたのが、夏を通してそこで生活している方がいると言うことでした。 実際に現在もビルカでの発掘は続いており、考古学者や夏の間に開かれるツアーに携わる方たちも島に住んでいるようです。 また、ツアーに携わるすべての方の服装が当時のヴァイキングを彷彿とされる様子には、とてもリアルで裏切らない出来でした！

In the Viking village, we can enter these buildings where they store clothes, foods, goods, etc. We also can make accessories with beads they sell in the village. 😀
We can buy these stones to make a bracelet. It will be a nice souvenir from Birka.

He told us that he is an archeologist who is researching on this island. This young scholar told about his experiences when he was excavating as well as archeological theories about Birka, what they have discovered and what they need to discover to confirm the theories. It was such a nice experience that a real scholar who actually researches the island did a tour for us.
One of the most interesting stories he shared with us was about a female Viking warrior they have concluded it was a female person. Before DNA research was not established yet, they believed that it was a male warrior, but they discovered it was a female warrior instead. They displayed much information in the museum as well. And, I also found a YouTube documentary, so if you are interested you can also watch it, too.

特にヴァイキングの中には女性の戦士もいたとDNA研究が進み証明されたヴァイキングのお墓に関する話はとても興味深かったです。 家にかえってからYouTubeでそれに関するドキュメンタリーがあったので、観てみました。 興味のある方はぜひ！
