The Woodland Cemetry
It is a public cemetery which is registered as UNESCO world Heritage Site in Stockholm.
It was designed by Gunnar Asplund, a Swedish architect. The concept of the cemetery is that souls will return to forest, which is a traditional Nordic philosophy.
魂は死後、森へ帰ると言った北欧伝承に基づき設計された共同墓地 荘厳な雰囲気が印象的です。
The buildings are very simple but designed very functional with several facilities.
There is a mound in the cemetery where people walk up and rest to recall memories of late families members.
