More mozzarella, sundried tomatoes, and basil. And Voilà!
Bon Apetit!
Hello, amazing Hivers, foodies, and sandwich lovers.
Today, according to the calendar for the #HiveBloPoMo challenge, is Sandwich Day. So how could I pass up the opportunity to share one of my creations?
And share it with the community that has already entered among my favorites in Hive S A N D W I C H.
In these busy days we have had at home, sandwiches and burgers have saved the day at meals many times. And a couple of nights ago, I made one of my burger classics, a Caprese Burger.
To make these burgers, in addition to the ground beef seasoned as usual, with onion, salt, pepper, and a little cumin. I also need mozzarella cheese, basil, and tomatoes. I dry the tomatoes in the air fryer before using them.
The secret of these burgers is that in addition to using those additional ingredients as topping for the burger. I also use them to stuff the meat with them.
I use this idea of stuffing hamburger meat at home quite often. I remember trying them for the first time in a place in Caracas years ago, where all burgers had the meat stuffed. It gives a different and delicious touch to the burgers and also makes us creative with combinations and flavors.
So after stuffing the meat, I put the burgers in a cast iron skillet to cook. When it was time to assemble the burger, I used a soft sweet potato bun with sesame topping. I topped the burgers with more mozzarella, more sundried tomatoes and basil, a little salt and pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil. And voila! Bon Appetit!
That's all for today. Happy Sandwich day! and thanks for reading!
