This Sunday we celebrated my husband’s birthday by sharing a delicious lunch at WOK, which serves Southeast Asian fusion cuisine. Sometimes I feel that the best gifts are precisely those quiet moments spent with family, gathered around a table filled with rich flavors and good conversation filled with our stories and anecdotes.
From the moment we arrived, I loved the atmosphere of the place. Although it was quite crowded and I couldn’t take any photos, I was left with the memory of a spacious, warm, and very beautiful space. The decor looked elegant and inviting. Plus, the service was excellent what you want most when going to a restaurant is to feel welcome from the very first moment.

Este domingo celebramos el cumpleaños de mi esposo, compartiendo un delicioso almuerzo en WOK que ofrece comida fusión del sudeste asiático. A veces siento que los mejores regalos son justamente esos momentos tranquilos en familia, alrededor de una mesa llena de sabores ricos y buena conversación llena de nuestros cuentos y anécdotas.
Desde que llegamos me encantó el ambiente del lugar. Aunque estaba bastante lleno y no pude tomar fotos, me quedó el recuerdo de un espacio amplio, cálido y muy bonito. La decoración se veía elegante y cómoda. Además, la atención fue excelente, lo que más se desea a la hora de ir a un restaurante es sentirse bien recibido desde el primer momento.
There was one detail I really loved, and that was the presentation of the menu. The menu is designed like a newspaper, with photos of the dishes and descriptions of the ingredients in each one. I thought it was original, practical, and visually appealing.
Hubo un detalle que me gustó muchísimo y fue la presentación de la carta. El menú tiene un diseño tipo periódico con fotos de los platos y explicaciones de los ingredientes que lleva cada uno. Me pareció original, práctico y muy bonito visualmente.
One thing I always really enjoy about Asian food is the intensity of the flavors. Each dish has a special blend of sweet, salty, spicy, and fresh flavors that makes every bite feel different. Everything we ordered was truly delicious. We each chose a different dish, and, as is our custom, we ended up sharing a little of everything to try a variety of flavors. I think that’s one of my favorite parts of going out to eat: turning the table into a shared experience.
Algo que siempre disfruto muchísimo de la comida asiática es la intensidad de los sabores. Cada plato tiene una mezcla especial entre lo dulce, lo salado, lo especiado y lo fresco que hace que cada bocado se sienta diferente. Todo lo que pedimos estuvo realmente delicioso. Cada uno eligió un plato distinto y, como ya es costumbre entre nosotros, terminamos compartiendo un poco de todo para probar varios sabores. Creo que esa es una de mis partes favoritas cuando salimos a comer: convertir la mesa en una experiencia compartida.
I ordered a delicious Khao Pad with chicken breast—full of flavor and perfectly balanced. My husband chose the Rainbow Noodles, which were incredible, with that perfect balance of crispiness and juiciness that keeps you coming back for more. My daughter ordered Bun Cha, and my son-in-law went with the Bamboo Wok, so our table ended up filled with colors, aromas, and a variety of dishes to share.
This Sunday we enjoyed a delicious lunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. That’s how we love to celebrate—eating well, feeling comfortable, and spending quality time together.
Yo pedí un delicioso Khao Pad con pechuga de pollo lleno de sabor y perfectamente equilibrado. Mi esposo eligió unos Rainbow Noodles que estaban increíbles, con esa mezcla entre crocante y jugoso que provoca seguir comiendo. Mi hija pidió Bun Cha y mi yerno se decidió por Bamboo Wok, así que nuestra mesa terminó llena de colores, aromas y platos distintos para compartir.
Este domingo disfrutamos de un almuerzo delicioso por el cumple de mi esposo. Así nos encanta celebrar, comiendo rico, sentiros a gusto y compartiendo tiempo de calidad .
