Now apart from that and not to lose the habit, and also to kill the craving to eat something sweet and delicious we decided to prepare a delicious lemon cake, and believe me it is really delicious that my mouth is watering while writing this post, so I decided to share with you the recipe so you can also try this delicacy if you love lemon desserts like me.
Ingredientes:
- 300 g de azúcar
- 170 g de mantequilla
- 4 cucharadas de aceite
- 205 ml de leche
- 4 huevos
- 4 cucharadas de zumo de limón
- 319 g de harina de trigo
- 8 g de polvo de hornear
- 5 g de sal
- ralladura de limón
Ingredients:

Preparación // Preparation
Empezamos poniendo el azúcar junto a una considerable cantidad de ralladura de limón, de hecho, nosotros usamos unos 12 gramos aproximadamente, pero pueden usar la cantidad que deseen, luego revolvemos muy bien con la ayuda de una cuchara y seguidamente le agregamos la mantequilla blanda y empezamos a batir.
We start by putting the sugar together with a considerable amount of lemon zest, in fact, we used about 12 grams approximately, but you can use the amount you want, then we stir very well with the help of a spoon and then add the softened butter and begin to beat.
Una vez integrada la mantequilla junto con el azúcar y la ralladura de limón, agregamos las cucharadas de aceite y en seguida vamos a agregar los huevos uno por uno mientras estamos batiendo. Luego vamos a agregar a nuestra mezcla y tamizados el harina, la sal y el polvo de hornear que anteriormente revolvimos bien en una taza y seguimos batiendo hasta integrar bien estos ingredientes.
Once the butter, sugar and lemon zest are integrated, add the tablespoons of oil and then add the eggs one by one while beating. Then we are going to add to our mixture and sifted the flour, the salt and the baking powder that we previously stirred well in a bowl and we continue beating until these ingredients are well integrated.
Ahora bien, agregamos el zumo de limón y la leche y seguimos batiendo hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea que en seguida vamos a agregar a un molde que anteriormente le pusimos papel de horno. Precalentamos el horno a 170° y llevamos nuestra torta a cocinar por 1 hora aproximadamente o hasta que al introducir un cuchillo este salga limpio.
Now, add the lemon juice and the milk and continue beating until we obtain a homogeneous mixture that we are going to add to a mold that we previously put baking paper in. Preheat the oven to 170° and bake our cake for approximately 1 hour or until a knife comes out clean.
Y después de un poco más de una hora nuestra torta estuvo lista, sacamos del horno e intentamos despegar el papel sin quemarnos. Vamos a dejarla enfriar para luego agregar lo que se suponia que era un glaseado de limón pero nos faltó más azucar glass jajaja, sin embargo este le dio un rico sabor a limón a nuestra torta y quedó bastante húmeda, así que se los recomiendo, o si desean pueden decorarla con otra cosa de su preferencia, aunque yo les recomiendo el glaseado de limón pero con suficiente azúcar glass y les va a quedar muy bien.
And after a little over an hour our cake was ready, we took it out of the oven and tried to peel off the paper without burning ourselves. We are going to let it cool and then add what was supposed to be a lemon icing but we lacked more icing sugar hahaha, however this gave a rich lemon flavor to our cake and it was quite moist, so I recommend it, or if you want you can decorate it with something else of your preference, although I recommend the lemon icing but with enough powdered sugar and it will be very good.
