Hola mis queridos Hivers, feliz viernes para todos, espero estén bien. Por mi lado sigo de reposo, mis tensiones aún siguen subiendo y bajando, eso me crea un descontrol y mucho malestar en mi cabeza. Me molesta la luz, los ruidos y la verdad prefiero estar lo más tranquila posible.

Sin embargo, el día miércoles saqué un poco de valor y fui a visitar a una amiga cerca de casa con mi hermana Elida, después de una animada conversación nos tomamos un café, ya estábamos a punto de despedirnos cuando cuando nuestra amiga exclamó: ¡Tengo algo para ustedes, que trajo mi esposo de Brasil!

Eran dos calabresas, una para mi hermana y una para mí, nos pareció un lindo detalle de su parte, salimos agradecidas con Dios y con ella. Ya en el camino a casa venía dándole a mi mente que haría con ella. Le comenté a mi esposo y me dijo vamos ha preparar un arroz con pollo y le colocamos trozos de calabresa. Me pareció genial, más aún porque todos nos metimos en la cocina, incluyendo a mi hija.

La preparación fue rápida, mi esposo ya tenía en la nevera condimentado estos recortes de pollo, y pico la mitad de la calabresa en pequeños trozos.

Hello my dear Hivers, happy Friday to all of you, I hope you are well. For my part I am still resting, my tensions are still rising and falling, that creates a lack of control and a lot of discomfort in my head. The light bothers me, the noises and the truth is that I prefer to be as quiet as possible.

However, on Wednesday I took a little courage and went to visit a friend near my home with my sister Elida, after a lively conversation we had a coffee, we were about to say goodbye when our friend exclaimed: I have something for you, that my husband brought from Brazil!

They were two calabrese, one for my sister and one for me, we thought it was a nice detail on her part, we left grateful to God and to her. Already on the way home I was thinking about what I would do with it. I told my husband and he told me that we were going to prepare a rice with chicken and put some pieces of calabrese on it. I thought it was great, even more because we all got into the kitchen, including my daughter.

The preparation was quick, my husband already had in the fridge seasoned these chicken trimmings, and I chopped half of the calabrese into small pieces.

Yo por mi parte pisaba el ajo en la paila donde cocinaría, recordé que tenía congelado una pequeña cantidad de aliño, la verdad no era mucho. Completamos con una cebolla que se encargó de picar Jeraldine. Todos estábamos en acción, pero yo casi me desmayaba en la cocina por el calor y la debilidad de mi cuerpo.

Puse todo en marcha, coloqué el aliño, el pollo y la calabresa a sofreír, fui colocando un toque de onoto para darle color, se le puso un cubito, curri, adobo, sal. Mi esposo fue al patio a ver si conseguía culantro y se apareció con estas pequeñas hojas.

I, for my part, was stepping on the garlic in the pan where I would cook, I remembered that I had frozen a small amount of seasoning, the truth was not much. We completed with an onion that Jeraldine was in charge of chopping. We were all in action, but I almost fainted in the kitchen because of the heat and the weakness of my body.

I put everything in motion, I put the dressing, the chicken and the calabrese to sauté, I added a touch of onoto to give it color, a cube, curry, adobo, salt. My husband went to the backyard to see if he could get some cilantro and came up with these little leaves.

Una vez bien sofrito todo, lave 2 tazas de arroz blanco y la coloqué en el guiso, estuve removiendo como por 10 minutos para que el arroz pudiera absorber el sabor de los demás ingredientes y al mismo tiempo sofreír.

Once everything was well sautéed, I washed 2 cups of white rice and put it in the stew, I was stirring for about 10 minutes so that the rice could absorb the flavor of the other ingredients and at the same time sauté.

Una vez que obtuvo la consistencia deseada le coloqué el agua requerida y tapé para que se cocinara a fuego lento. Mientras eso sucedía mi hija y mi esposo preparaban el jugo de tres en uno (naranja, zanahoria, remolacha), mientras yo me recuperaba de mi desvanecimiento.

Once it reached the desired consistency I added the required water and covered it to simmer. While that was happening my daughter and my husband were preparing the three-in-one juice (orange, carrot, beet), while I was recovering from my swoon.

El almuerzo estuvo rápido y el jugo también, servimos y nos fuimos a comer. Todo estaba exquisito, tenía tiempo sin percibir el pronunciado sabor anisado de la calabresa. Siempre es un placer compartir con ustedes nuestros momentos en la cocina y la bendición de tener siempre en nuestra mesa el alimento. Cuídense mucho de no mojarse con lluvia, la gripe anda visitando los hogares, la verdad son muy fuertes los síntomas. Aprovechen más bien para descansar el fin de semana y compartir en unión familiar.

Lunch was quick and so was the juice, we served and went to eat. Everything was exquisite, I hadn't tasted the pronounced aniseed flavor of the calabrese for a long time. It is always a pleasure to share with you our moments in the kitchen and the blessing of always having food on our table. Be careful not to get wet in the rain, the flu is visiting homes, the symptoms are very strong. Take advantage of the weekend to rest and share in family togetherness.
