Greetings friends of Hive Food, today I want to tell you about a place that I really like, it's called "La Abuelita de los Pasteles". It is located on Santa Rosa Avenue, Cumaná, Sucre State, previously it was called "La señora de las tortas". It is a very popular place in my city and well known for its variety of products, and of course, its extraordinary quality.

Este sitio es ideal para disfrutar de un rico desayuno, merendar ó comprar una linda y deliciosa torta para celebrar un cumpleaños. No queda cerca de mi lugar de residencia, así que aprovecho la oportunidad de visitarlo cuando tengo que ir a Farmatodo, por ejemplo. Hace dos días estuve por esa zona haciendo una diligencia y como salí muy temprano de casa aproveché de desayunar allí.

It is not an ostentatious place, it is a small, modest place, located in a corner. Outside there are a couple of tables and a huge cart that sells a super delicious chicha, which can be purchased in different sizes. Many people stop there to taste the wonders they offer to the public.

At Abuelita de los Pasteles they sell some jumbo sized tequeños that are taken like hot cakes, they are my favorite, the cost is 6 Bs or 6 VES, approximately 1.473 Hive. They are very good, people buy them as soon as they are placed in the display case. All the breakfasts they offer are delicious, among pastelitos, cachitos and the great tequeños, the most sought after by the clientele.

As soon as I arrived at the place, I noticed that they had just been served, warm, and I immediately bought three, two to take away and one for my breakfast, which I accompanied with a small chicha, whose cost was 9 Bs, 2.211 Hive. The truth is that tequeños are a delight, in the center of the city they are sold in street vendors, they are very cheap, 3 Bs, 0.738 Hive. As they say over there, cheap is sometimes good, but not always, those tequeños are pure dough, no cheese and tequeño without cheese, is not tequeño.

For many reasons, I wouldn't trade them for anything, they are big, with lots of cheese, from start to finish, and best of all, it's not a salty cheese. They are always freshly made, they prepare small quantities to provide the customer with fresh and quality merchandise.

If we talk about the chicha, mmm, it is another of their delicacies, it is quite thick, cold, without any ice, remember that it was very annoying a chicha with a lot of ice, that no longer happens, now it is pure chicha, to enjoy it to the fullest. I ordered it with everything, a touch of chocolate, condensed milk and cinnamon powder.

I love this place because their products are of quality, what can bother me a little is that it is a bit far from my house. As I mentioned, I visit it when I go to that area and I take advantage of it, but there have also been days when I go there especially to bring a mini cake.

I have tried several of their products, besides the tequeños, the chicha and the minitorta, I had the pleasure of enjoying some exquisite alfajores. On the other hand, the prices are quite affordable, a minitorta costs 20 VES, 4,911 Hive, while the medium one, which is twice its size, costs 31 VES, 7,613 Hive.
