At certain times during the school year, children have a celebration in the classroom, that means that my niece was about to have a celebration in her school. I decided to prepare a cake for her, a last minute decision, to make the celebration more special and for me any celebration must have a cake, it is a rule or maybe I just love cakes hahaha, but if we think about it, a celebration without a dessert, is different or maybe it is a cultural issue.
This was the fastest cake I have ever made, I started at 10pm and finished it at 12:30am. I had planned to decorate it when I got up, but then I found out that my niece was leaving for school at 7am and getting up at that time was no longer an option. Clearly it is not a perfect cake, I have never liked to decorate so fast, but it was nice for the occasion. It is a cake with a strawberry cream, strawberry cream filling and a vanilla sponge cake, with a chocolate drip and mini M&M's, although they are not that brand, but colorful enough for the kids to love.
Taking these pictures, I got to thinking about how much I love taking pictures of cakes or desserts, besides the fact that I really enjoy preparing them, when it's time for the pictures I take my time and after about 100 pictures, I can proceed to deliver the cake, cut it or whatever needs to be done. I have set out to make a list of things that I can acquire that will allow me to create better photographs of my preparations and among those is to study photography focused on food. One of the things about having a blog, and one of the things I like the most, is that I am always learning to improve what I do. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
En ciertas épocas del año escolar, a los niños les hacen un compartir en el salón de clases, eso quiere decir que mi sobrina estaba por tener un compartir en su escuela. Decidí prepararle un pastel, una decisión de ultimo momento, para que el compartir fuera mas especial y es que para mi cualquier celebración debe tener un pastel, es una regla o quizás es que me gustan mucho los pasteles jajaja, pero si nos ponemos a pensar, una celebración sin un postre, es diferente o quizás es un tema cultural.
Este ha sido el pastel mas rápido que he preparado, comencé a las 10pm y lo termine a las 12:30am. Tenia pensado decorarlo al levantarme, pero luego me entere que mi sobrina salía para su colegio a las 7am y levantarme a esa hora ya no era una opción. Claramente no es un pastel perfecto, nunca me ha gustado decorar tan rápido, pero ha quedado bonito para la ocasión. Se trata se un pastel con una crema de fresas, relleno de crema de fresas y un bizcocho de vainilla, con un drip de chocolate y mini M&M, aunque no son de esa marca, pero si lo suficientemente coloridos para que a los niños les encante.
Tomando estas fotos, me puse a pensar en lo mucho que me encanta tomarle fotografías a pasteles o postres, a parte de que disfruto mucho el prepararlos, cuando llega la hora de las fotografías me tomo mi tiempo y luego de unas 100 fotos, puedo proceder a entregar el pastel, cortarlo o lo que se tenga que hacer. Me he puesto hacer una lista de cosas que puedo adquirir que me permita crear mejores fotografías de mis preparaciones y entre esas esta el estudiar fotografía enfocada a la comida. Una de las cosas de tener un blog y es de las que mas me ha gustado, es el tema de que siempre estoy en constante aprendizaje para mejorar lo que hago. Espero que disfrutes de las fotografías.
