my participation in the fourth edition of the Cooking a todo color contest; this week where the protagonist is the color orange, besides that certain foods contain properties to strengthen the immune system and improve our skin appearance; being this my favorite color, most of my utensils are orange.

Today I bring you a Creole recipe, I like it without a doubt because it connects me with my roots especially that I am far away from my country when I made this delicious dessert, I remembered my family mainly my grandmother who commonly made it. It is a very easy dessert to make with only 3 ingredients, here I will show you how to prepare it.

Ingredientes:
- 5 naranja
- 1/2 taza de azúcar
- 1/2 taza de maicena (fécula de maíz)
Ingredients:
- 5 orange
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch (corn starch)

Preparation:
First squeeze the oranges( if they are too dry add more oranges) I squeezed about 3 cups of orange juice.

Strain the orange juice before, to avoid lumps.

Then in a saucepan add the orange juice and sugar. Heat over low heat until the sugar dissolves.

In another bowl, place the remaining 1/2 cup of orange juice and the cornstarch and stir well until dissolved (I did this procedure when cold).

When it starts to boil, add the dissolved cornstarch and stir constantly (you can use a whisk or just a paddle). Keep stirring and cook for 8 minutes until the mixture thickens.

Transfer to a glass container, let it cool to room temperature and then put it in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours (I left it overnight) and enjoy!
