âHello friends of
, happy start to the week! I hope it is full of blessings for everyone. You know that Iâm always pampering my loved ones through their taste budsâand myself too, obviously, hehe. I usually look for healthy options, but what I also LOVE is pleasing them with something delicious that I know they adore, and ice cream is definitely on that list. Thanks to TikTok, I found many recipes; although the ones that caught my eye the most required Chantilly cream, I also found this one Iâm sharing today. This was, of course, the one I chose because Chantilly is extremely expensive here in Maturin, hehe. My respects to the bakers who buy it! đ Anyway, that being said, here is the simple step-by-step đ
âINGREDIENTES / INGREDIENTS:
âđš 400 g de crema de leche / 400g heavy cream
âđš 200 g de leche condensada / 200g condensed milk
âđš 1 paquete de galletas Oreo / 1 pack of Oreo cookies
âđš 3 cucharadas de cacao / 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
âOkay, first I should mention that I saw many girls who didn't need a mixer; they did it with a simple hand whisk. However, since I had my mom's mixer at home, I decided to use it. So, the first step is to whip the heavy cream until it thickens slightly.
âBy the way, a very important tip is that the cream must be VERY COLD, but not frozen. And if you chill the condensed milk too, even better! Also, put your utensils in the freezer 15 minutes before starting.
âAfter whipping the heavy cream (at this point I was actually scared because mine stayed almost liquid đ), once it is thick and almost creamy, we add the condensed milk and mix it with a spatula using folding motions.
âHere I decided to make two flavors since I had cocoa powder. I set aside some of the mixture, and in a cup, I mixed the cocoa with 4 tablespoons of water, stirring until it became a paste. The recipe said I shouldn't add it directly to the mix so it wouldn't "steal" the moisture.
âFinally, we crush the cookies and add them to each ice cream batch. Then, we transfer them to containers, top them with some chocolate sprinkles, and let them freeze overnight.
âItâs worth noting that if you have a GOOD freezer that actually freezes well (unlike mine đ), you only need to chill it for 5 hours. Otherwise, leave it overnight like I did, hehe. But this is how they finally turned out đ„°đ€€.
âHonestly, we LOVED it. They turned out so creamy and delicious, especially the chocolate one because it literally tasted like the "Golazo" ice cream I used to eat as a kid đ€€. A total delight. Plus, I spent less than 2,000 bolivars and it was enough for two rounds of ice cream, hehe. So, I highly recommend it! Next time, if my budget allows, I'll try it with Chantilly cream
