Hi food bloggers, today I'm going to share a recipe for economical and easy homemade dumplings. As an Asian, I personally really like this dish. I usually make it as a snack on weekends. It tastes savory and the filling is chewy. It takes about an hour to cook. Okay, let's get started.
Ingredients:
- 20 dumpling wrappers
- 300 grams boneless chicken
- 100 grams shrimp
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3 cloves shallots
- 2 spring onions
- 1 grated carrot
- 1 egg
- 50 grams tapioca flour
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 tablespoon pepper
- sesame oil
- vegetable oil
- ice cubes
Steps:
- Clean and wash the main ingredients
- Slice the shallots, garlic, and spring onions.
- Sauté the sliced shallots, garlic, and spring onions in hot oil briefly until fragrant, then set aside to cool.
- Put the chicken pieces, shrimp, ice cubes, sautéed mixture, and oyster sausce into a blender/chopper and blend until smooth

- Place in a bowl, then add the eggs, pepper, salt, tapioca flour, and grated carrots to the bowl
- Mix all ingredients until well combined
Prepare the dumpling wrappers and fill them with the mixture
Heat the steamer until boiling.
- Brush sesame oil on the steamer rack, then cook the dumplings until done.
- The dumplings are ready to serve. You can fry them in a little oil for a crunchy texture, or eat them as they are with chili sauce or chili oil. They taste great either way.
