"Casa Jardín, Pizzeria - Gelateria" is one of the new gastronomic offers added to La Asunción. Located in the historic center, right in the middle of the square where I spent a good part of my days, so it was inevitable to go and visit it one day.
A small Italian restaurant, which offers much more than pizza and ice cream! Impossible to go unnoticed, as it is located in the middle of Bolivar Square in La Asuncion, where its large white umbrellas and wooden tables create a super captivating atmosphere, especially if you visit it at night as was my case.
That particular day there was quite a lot of movement, since it was Saturday and a fair of entrepreneurs is installed on the boulevard of the square, where the music of the various locals open in the place invite you to stay, and the one that caught our attention was this new place that looked pretty nice.
On that occasion we went in the company of friends and while we were deciding what to eat, the men ordered a beer for them, and for my friend and me some parchita mojitos, both super cold drinks, which came like a ring to the finger to calm the heat that we have been suffering lately on the island.
Although the advertisement seems to limit what they offer to pizzas and ice cream, the truth is that they have a wide menu that includes traditional Italian dishes, starting with pizzas, a good variety of pastas and even delicious salads, with a 5 star service, and not to mention the food.
After looking at the menu for a while we decided on some pizzas; margherita for the children and for the adults, a vegetarian one, plus a salad that right now I can't remember the name of, but what I can't forget is its flavor, simply delicious. A mixture of raisins, apple, almonds, arugula, emental cheese, alfalfa sprouts, in short, a delight.
The pizza on the other hand, baked in a wood oven, was absolutely delicious, and if I could complain about something, it would be the plates they brought us to serve it, as they did not have much to do with the aesthetics of the place, nor with the one they used to present the salad, but this is something very much my own, and that surely many would not have noticed, but I pay attention to those details.
I was delighted that the food didn't take long to arrive, although I would have preferred that they served everyone at the same time, but again, it's just me, I'm very picky, because the truth is that the whole night we were very well attended and we ate delicious food.
So much so that my friend's husband called the chef to congratulate him on the salad, because it was really amazing, so if you are in Isla Margarita and you can take a walk around the Plaza de la Asunción, be sure to visit Casa Jardín, I assure you that you will not regret it.
And since I am now in the mood for assigning stars, at my son's suggestion, I would give it 5 stars without hesitation.
"Casa Jardín, Pizzeria - Gelateria" es una de las nuevas ofertas gastronómicas que se suma a La Asunción. Ubicado en el casco histórico, justamente en el centro de la plaza donde pasó buena parte de mis días, así que era inevitable ir a conocerlo un día.
¡Un pequeño restaurante italiano, que ofrece mucho más que pizza y helados! Imposible que pase desapercibido, pues está ubicado en plena plaza Bolívar de La Asunción, donde sus amplios paraguas blancos y mesitas de madera crean un ambiente súper cautivador, sobre todo si lo visitas de noche como fue mi caso.
Ese día en particular había bastante movimiento, ya que era sábado y se instala una feria de emprendedores en el bulevar de la plaza, donde la música de los distintos locales abiertos en el lugar te invitan a quedarte, y el que llamó nuestra atención, fue este nuevo lugar que lucía bastante lindo.
En esa oportunidad fuimos en compañía de amigos y mientras decidíamos qué comer, los hombres ordenaron una cerveza para ellos, y para mí amiga y para mí unos mojitos de parchita, ambas bebidas súper frías, cosa que nos vino como anillo al dedo para calmar el calor que últimamente sufrimos en la isla.
Aunque en el anuncio pareciera limitar lo que ofrecen, a pizzas y helados, la verdad es que cuenta con un amplio menú que incluye platos tradicionales de la cocina italiana, comenzando por las pizzas, una buena variedad de pastas e incluso deliciosas ensaladas, con una atención 5 estrellas, y la comida ni hablar.
Después de mirar un rato el menú nos decidimos por unas pizzas; margarita para los niños y para los adultos, una vegetariana, además de una ensalada que justo ahora no recuerdo el nombre, pero de lo que no me olvido es de su sabor, simplemente delicioso. Una mezcla de pasas, manzana, almendras, rúgula, queso emental, brotes de alfalfa, en fin, una delicia.
La pizza por su parte, horneada en horno de leña, estaba absolutamente deliciosa, y si pudiese quejarme de algo, serían los platos que nos llevaron para servirla, pues no tenían mucho que ver con la estética del local, ni con el que usaron para presentar la ensalada, pero esto es algo muy mío, y que seguramente muchos no hubiesen notado, pero yo me fijo en esos detalles.
Me encantó que la comida no tardó mucho en llegar, aunque hubiese preferido que sirvieran a todos al mismo tiempo, pero una vez más, son cosas mías, soy muy quisquillosa, porque la verdad toda la noche estuvimos muy bien atendidos y comimos delicioso.
Tanto así que el esposo de mi amiga llamó al chef para felicitarlo por la ensalada, porque en realidad estaba increíble, así que si están en Isla Margarita y se pueden dar una vuelta por la plaza de la Asunción, no dejen de visitar Casa Jardín, les aseguro que no se arrepentirán.
Y como ahora estoy en la onda de asignar estrellas, por sugerencia de mi hijo, yo le daría sin dudar 5 estrellas.
