Playground
When parking near our bank some weeks ago, when the kid was at school. We discovered a new playground, well not really new, but new to us. It looked great for younger and older kids, while often these playgrounds are mostly focussed at the tiniest ones. We said let's go there after we move as we were way over our head in boxes and exhausted already. The first weekend here, it was a lovely Sunday (after we had two storms that week) and the sun was shining brightly. No need for vests or jackets, t-shirt weather and short pants all the way! The perfect moment to sniff some vitamin D and have the little girl play for a while.
Surprise
We didn't tell her where we were going and that we found this playground. She does better when we surprise her. There were beautiful big trees in this park, I forgot to take a picture but will do so next time because they're worth showing. We noticed that you could walk up a little stairs to sit on a terrace while overlooking the playground which was perfect so we could have a drink and maybe a tapa. We showed our daughter our table and she went off to play.
Beer and water
Usually, I drink water when we're on a terrace because I drink water at home all day as well, never soda, and my boyfriend usually orders a beer. I think I remember they didn't have his favourite Mahou beer at this place but probably Alhambra or another famous brand but he ordered one either way. Usually, some other brands upset his stomach which is not the case with Mahou but if it's just one beer, it's fine.
We asked if they also have tapas and the lady started naming 25 tapas in a rapid pace, I could probably uncover 10 of them and there were just a few options which I wanted to try. We never order croquets for tapas but we did now, having no idea of the filling, lol. Surprise!
Cheese croquets
This tapa reminded me of many tapas we had in the Granada area because often they would serve you a plate with some chips and something else on top. This is less common in this area where we live now but that's probably because here you mostly choose your tapa but you also pay for it separately. For me personally, this is better because I used to order peach juice most of the time when going for tapas in the Granada area as I don't drink beer and you wouldn't get a tapa with water but with juice you would. I never really like drinking peach juice just for a tapa because it makes me even more thirsty.
These croquets were simple but nice, we only had one each and just enjoyed sitting there on a beautiful spot, until we felt chilly because the sun was moving towards the playground and immediately we felt cold with our summer clothes. Next time we should go a bit earlier, so we enjoy the sun a bit longer, haha.
Today is another Sunday but no time for tapas as I really need to get some laundry done at the laundry service. Wishing you a great Sunday!
