Hi family,
With this sunny weekend I hope you are all doing fine?
Welcome to Chocolatissimo
I wanted to share with you this little exhibition I went to. Yesterday, I caught a cold and my throat hurts a little. I am since drinking hot tee. That's why I did not stay long there.
I asked few friend to come with me but they refused. One of them was a pastry chef but he's disgusted with the business. He tells me that it's worth going to see the chocolate factories and their stories. Like Cailler, Camille Bloch or Lindt.
You know since many years I live in Switzerland I realised that good chocolate is almost everywhere; I've never been interested in visiting chocolate factories... Like Willy Wonka's 😍
As I did not get really healthy, I went for an hour to see the exhibition. Chocolatissimo happens once a year in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It represents the professions of confectioners, patissiers and chocolatiers of the region.
They show how they tap and confine the chocolate, there are several themed workshops for both children and adults. It's very interesting.
There is also a small competition for apprentices demonstrating their work.
All are made in chocolate, that's just wonderful. For me is a kind of culinary art.
Here is the website of chocolatissimo.
Soon, I will go with a couple of friends to visit the Lindt chocolate factory in Zurich.
Have you ever visited a chocolate factory?
My next program is to go see the Absinthe's House, the Gruyère factory famous for its cheese, the Zweiffel factory where they produce the potato chips, etc... A good program for this end of year.
Switzerland is a good country, I'm thinking of buying a general subscription for the train and visit my beautiful country when I'm bored.
Let's go to adventure in Switzerland, yadlaiyou 🤠🐮
Always with hugs and love 😚
