The Eagles come into the 2023 season as my #2 overall team in the league. They also finished second overall in the NFL last season after losing in the Super Bowl. I know I know, real hot take by me!!!
Still, there's really no reason the Eagles shouldn't be nearly, if not just as good as they were in 2022. I do have some doubts on whether or not the Eagles can actually replicate what they did in 2022 simply because the Eagles were insanely dominant last season. They tore through the competition with ease and it was pretty impressive to watch. They simply could not be stopped on either side of the ball. Even in the Super Bowl, they competed extremely well.
QB Jalen Hurts leveled up in a MASSIVE way in 2022, especially with the addition of star receiver A.J. Brown. In fact, I ranked Hurts as the eighth best QB in the league and A.J. Brown as the third best receiver in the league! The Eagles also have another huge weapon in receiver DeVonta Smith and a fantastic defense to boot.
The Eagles may have caught many teams by surprise for a few months in 2022, but they were so utterly dominant that it's hard to really imagine them regressing in any major way.
