After just 15 minutes of play in Saturday's late Premier League match, Romelu Lukaku scored his first goal at Stamford Bridge following his return to the Premier League club.
The goal came after a good presentation by Matao Kovačić, but the midfielder also scored himself when he intercepted a too short pass from Aston Villa captain Tyrone Mings and subsequently Kovačić elegantly tipped the ball over Jed Steer in the Villa goal. The match ended 3-0 after Lukuku very powerfully finished in overtime.
Andreas Christensen watched the entire match from the bench, where Chelsea started with several strong names and expensively acquired players such as Kepa, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell and Jorginho. They could see Lukaku's first home goal and a giant Villa foul when Chelsea won.
