I vividly remember sometime ago on Steem blockchain when bid-bots were the norm. Then, curation was a huge business and one could give out some STEEM to bot owners to receive upvotes worth the sent liquid token plus some added amounts as profits. This made the trending pages to be filled with shitty and less-quality blogs but with huge upvote value.
Thanks to all Steem witnesses who pursued the cause to restore sanity to the contenting and curation game in the blockchain by advocating for the hardfork which introduced downvoting feature with an adjustment in author /curation ratio to 50/50. At that point, bid-bots were no more a valid business alternative. This was followed by a massive powerdown and selling off of stakes.
Another phase emerged after the formation of communities that some communities were more engaging than others due to ownership of whale curators. Thanks to @Ocd for being the Good whales.
About a month ago, @Ocd included @Sportstalsksocial community in its list of community incubation project. Thanks to @Cryptoandcoffee. This gesture from OCD has changed the face of the trending feed of the Sports Talk Social community. Over the last few weeks, there has been an appreciating count of posts created in the #sportstalk tag as well as through https://www.sportstalksocial.com/. In the most recent update, it is reported that there are new 93 subscribers added to the community.
I can't believe another week ahs ticked by and it feels like only yesterday I was writing last weeks report. Today looking at the umbers we have 815 members which is up from last week by 16 and up overall by 93. - source
There has been a remarkable difference in the trending page of the Sports Talk Social community with a fair distribution of high votes to different users. No more generic Actifit posts. In face, the quality of blogs now created via the #sportstalk tag are now improved.
In the last two weeks, a theme " #sportingmemories" was defined and now #sportinginjuries. These themes allow for the creation of organic posts. Also, there have been a blend in authorship in the #sportstalksocial trending page.
The aftermath of the improved engagement of the Sportstalksocial community has positively enhanced the price of SPORTS. There has been over 700% pump in SPORTS price from the price before the beginning of the community curation incubation.
We're looking forward to having over 2,000 users in the community and that could send the token to the bullish 0.1HIVE value.
