Focus on breathing; that is the first step.
After I had my worst nightmare ever, and my husband woke me up from it, the first thing I did was to start breathing again and find my way through sobbing back to consciousness and kind of calmness... which happened later. {that dream is it is not suitable for sensitive people so I am not going to write it down here and also, it was just a dream.} It anyway affected my whole day in some way, I can't just forget it easily. I shared the last part of it with my husband; he said that it reminded him about the terrible accident that the actor Jeremy Renner had last year and what was the first thing he did at that moment... There was no time to panic but to focus on breathing to survive the accident, in his case.
I think I needed that lesson today to unpack my rocks and colours (I packed them a few days ago into a big box and put them aside as I felt a little off) and try to bring some details from nature to them. As where could we breathe best if not in nature?
This was the rock chosen for today's activity. I put some little leaves and petals on top and around it to inspire me on how nature, and especially plants, can become part of a kindness rock.
This was the first step to get some air from nature, from these leaves. But neither the other side of the rock stayed empty. I already felt better and here a more colourful flower could arrive. Once again, I used a pencil to make the outlines for the petals.
Well, not the final result, as I will still need to apply the varnish but I want to leave it dry well. The little leaves and petals from the first photo were just inspiration, in the end, the natural details in this kindness rock don't even look like the models hahaha.
Ok, I breathe now. And I hope we all do that in every challenging situation. {I just told my son to do the same, as he got a bit upset about some little paperwork problems}.
