It is early spring and not really for cooling off. but the drink I made is normally very popular in the summer season and very refreshing after tiredness. Even if it is cold I had it after coming back from work. It is a cucumber lime mint drink (Khire ka Sarbat in the Indian language) with a little spice in it. In the hot summer, it is very good for frequent thirst, dehydration, urinary tract functions, refreshing as well as good for obesity.
The cucumber lime mint Sarbat.
The ingredients:
1 medium-sized cucumber
2 sprigs of fresh mint
very small piece of fresh ginger
1 lime
2 tbsp sugar
2 pinches of roasted cumin seed powder
1 pinch salt
1 pinch of black pepper powder.
1 tbsp basil seed.
Wash and half-peel and slice the cucumber. for natural color save some peel.
In the mixer place cucumber pieces, ginger and mint leaves. save some mint for garnish. and blend it finely. strain and store it in a jar.
In a pan place sugar and 1/2 tbsp of water and add some peels from the lime.
Cut the lime and juice it.
Cook lime peels with sugar water.
Strain.
soak the basil seeds in 1/4 cup of water.
add lime juice to the cucumber juice.
now all things are ready the cucumber juice, mint water ice cubes, sugar syrup, cucumber slices, spices. and soaked basil seeds and mint tops.
