Hello, food lovers greetings 🙏. Nowadays the concept of the fast-food means junk street food. But I don't think like that. My understanding is that food made quickly and easily with healthy ingredients is also fast food. The dish I choose today is based on ayurvedic principles. This dish is called Phohe or Powa one Indian fast-food
Ayurveda maintains that food should contain 6 tastes which help to build our digestive system stronger. we believe if digestion is good the whole body's health is good.
Finished dish within 10 minutes. It contains all 6 tastes: sweet, salt, sour, pungent, bitter, and astringent, tastes which are very helpful for our digestion.
The main ingredient is rice flakes called Powa or Phohe. (use the thick variety) and shredded coconut.
Frozen green peas.
The ingredients:
2 cups thick phohe/powa.
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup green peas
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander
1.5 tbsp cooking oil
2 chopped green chilies
1 tsp cumin seed
1 tsp mustard seed
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp Himalaya salt.
2 slices of lime.
Wash and soak powa for 3-4 minutes.
Heat the pan and add the oil.
Add cumin and mustard seeds. let them crackle
Add onion,
Chili.
stir it for 2 minutes
Add green peas. and stir it 1 more minute
Drain the water from powa then mix in the turmeric and salt,
Add the powa to the pan.
stir
Add coriander.
stir it together.
add coconut
More coriander and sautee it for 2 min.
Here the powa is ready. serve with extra coconut and coriander
Add a few drops of lime juice. and enjoy it.
