Another one of the more popular Chinese beauty brand is this brand called Flower Knows which I believe recently became viral. I did an unboxing a few months ago but I wasn't able to try it until recently. Aside from a lot of things coming up, I just wanted to be "ready" when I try it for the first time - that means being able to set up a good lighting first so I can film the product better before I start messing it up since it's so pretty lol.
Like before, these are stills from my short video on Instagram and TikTok.
The brand is known for its extremely pretty packaging without compromising product quality. When I first saw the products, I really fell in love with it because... just look at it!! I then became curious of its formula because if it's only pretty because of the packaging then what's the point?
With Cbeauty as well, it is expected that their glitter eyeshadows will be VERY sparkly which gave me an idea to have a more ethereal look for my first try.
My first impression with the formula is it is kinda "creamy" for a powder eyeshadow, if you know what I mean. I was easily able to pick up the product in just a few light swipes and it glides easily on my skin. There were a lot of fallouts though despite tapping the brush before application.
For this one, I used the lighter violet shade as a base.
Then I added the pink on the outer eyelids and also extended it around my eyes. I kinda wanted to go crazy with it but I got a bit more focused on blending the product. Some parts were kinda patchy because I think I didn't prep my eyelids properly. I didn't set it first with a setting powder or not even an eyeshadow primer. It's easy to blend though so I just have to try it again next time. Also note that I just started learning properly about makeup lol.
I used the darkest eyeshadow to make shadows on the outer eyelid and also to make a liner afterwards. It is buildable. :D
And the most awaited part... the shimmer eyeshadows!
There are pink and violet shimmers which are both VERY pretty especially beside each other. I added them literally all over my face haha.
I used the shade Little Cranberry blush.
Then lipglosses in the shade Blackberry Jam and Berry Bomb.
Then I added some eyelashes, green contact lenses, and some rhinestones.
My favorite part of this eyeshadow really is the shimmer. It's so sparkly that even just looking at the mirror I noticed how gorgeous it was compared to other shimmers that are just subtle. This one really tells everyone that you're Edward from Twilight.
The best way to show shimmers is to set up the lighting properly which I will show in the next post I guess. In these photos, the lighting source is in front of me so glitters can't really be seen that easy but in real life with a lot of light sources, it is really gorgeous.
Anyway, I just wanted to show how the colors in the most accurate way I can first. I was also having a hard time figuring out the proper lighting and color profile settings both on my camera and monitor so I need to learn that too. It might have been the white balance or it's just what I look like... but I looked too yellow on other shots LOL.
Good product, I would say it's so worth it to get this or any Chinese brand product if you like shimmers a lot. :D
