The 93rd Hive Open Mic event ran from January 16-22, 2022, with the theme: Amor a Escondidas. In English, this expression means "Love on the Sly," or "Hidden Love". This theme was chosen by our recent Spotlight Artist 
Querer Mejor / Want Better (Cover) by
David's performance is superb. The sound he achieves is stunningly handsome, and in fact it is a rarity to hear him on the keys as he is also an excellent player on the strings. Solid vocals too, woohoo! His visual presentation is also noteworthy, giving the impression he is an artist in every sense.

Maestro Armando Linares performed an extraordinary vocal interpretation paying homage to Love through his lyrics. Hidden or not, Love deserves everything for being the engine that governs our lives. Our friend Jhoxiris Medina captivated us with one of the songs most in line with the weekly theme, written by the Mexican band RBD. The song's lyrics perfectly describe love on the sly, but the beauty of Jhoxiris' voice is the sublime touch that made her participation in the platform stand out, in addition to a subtle video editing that goes along with it. Congratulations.

Deep Purple came to the scene of Hive Open Mic, with a cover of a sad song. Excellent guitar solo, shredding the strings like a rock star. It is a brilliant display of talent and technique, played by a new member of the community. Welcome!
