Happiness. Everyone can give a different answer to what happiness means to them. For some, it is family, for others health, music, friends, a roof over their heads, a job. Maybe happiness is our attitude to life in general. Wouldn't be happiness also making happy the other? I think it is an important task nowadays, there are so many people around that can not have a nice word from someone in a day. After all, happiness can not be kept for one, it is real only when shared.
I am grateful to our admin that, being the spotlight of one of the previous weeks of Hive Open Mic, I could choose the topic for this week 48. For me it was Happiness. I thought it is a topic where a lot of joyful and energetic music can come into the scene. I already listened to some of the entries that were published until now, and happiness is growing indeed. And you know what else? One very important thing, the interaction between the participants! It is growing and this is a beautiful thing.
There is a song I wanted to make a cover, the title is Happier (Bastille ft. Marshmello). What a song from the genre of electronic music has to do with me? Tastes can change or better say widen, so it is not that I can not enjoy electronic music, all the contrary. It is somehow difficult or not an ordinary scene to see a classical musician cover it on the piano. However, here comes my little contribution and cover.
Just a short look into some statistics for #openmic of week 47. did an elaborated highlights post that you can check out here. It is just so difficult to highlight everyone, but I would like to mention everyone who participated. And imagine what, there were 47 entries for week 47. I hope I am not wrong, if there is someone I accidentally skipped, please let me know so I can correct the error. It was a pleasure to listen to you all:
