Silver Mamma Chef decided to make a chicken pie and potato wedgies in their jackets for dinner today, she was a bit lazy to make her own pastry, instead used bought puff pastry from the local grocery store; she sent Pappa Chef to buy the pastry and a packet of mushroom soup to use as a gravy, unfortunately, Pappa Chef came back with a packet of onion soup, he couldn't explain why he bought the wrong thing. Omg!... Never the less, it wasn't really going to make much of a difference to the taste, it would've been nice though to have the mushroom soup. Oh well!.....it's just the two old farts any ways, nobody special is coming to dinner.
Silver Mamma Chef prepared the chicken and herbs by sautéing some onions, garlic and mixed herbs, then added two diced chicken fillets, adding a little of the onion soup mixed with a cup of water for a little added taste, Omg!..(mushroom soup would've been so much better).
She prepared the the potatoes and rubbed a bit of butter and salt with a little potato spice with a wee drop of water in the glass dish.
After putting the pie and potatoes in the oven at 180c, she went out into the garden to potter around.
A pile of Sea Shells caught her eye, the kids had brought them back from Cape Town on their last visit before relocating there, fond memories came flooding back.
Oh!!!.... A little bird told her that they might just be coming for a visit at the end of March. (It supposed to be a surprise) but Luke's brother let the cat out the bag. Silver Mamma Chef will pretend she doesn't know about the little secret Lol!. She is soooo excited, can't wait. he!he!
The pie and wedgies are done and it's time to eat.
