Yesterday felt quite normal. It seems a while since things felt that way. It was good and the day went according to plan because the list was not longer than the proverbial arm. I was even done in time to take a photo of some of the wares before shutting up shop. And in day sunlight.
This week's plant-based jar offering: a sweet potato and butternut soup. It's a new recipe and I'm rather happy to have found it. Lovely nutmeg to counter the sweetness of the potato and butternut and combined with the comforting warmth of cinnamon.
New, this week, Moroccan preserved (salt) lemons liberated from their giant jar into which I squashed them over a month ago. I have to play with them, myself. There are plenty.
We still have a lot of winter ahead, but the days are beginning to lengthen. This is our "high" street at 6pm last night. For one who hates the cold and the dark, it was soul food.
This was the other view from the same vantage point: and folk enjoying sundowners and a natter at our local and which was our destination before heading home to supper and bed ahead of the market.
Until next time, be well

If this post might seem familiar, it's because I'm doing two things:
- re-vamping old recipes. As I do this, I am adding them in a file format that you can download and print. If you download recipes, buy me a coffee. Or better yet, a glass of wine....?
- and "re-capturing" nearly two years' worth of posts.
- From Wordpress, I use the Exxp Wordpress plugin. If this rocks your socks, click here or on on the image below to sign up.

- lastly, graphics are created using partly my own photographs, images available freely available on
