Hola, Tuesday!
A rainy start of the week for us, been so since Sunday night. No sign of the sun popping out anytime soon. The storm turned into an LPA which is bringing incessant rains throughout the day and night. Not my kind of weather but it's welcomed nonetheless. The rain helps make the greens thrive and cleanse the dust too, so yeah, thank you Mama Nature :)
The absence of sunshine reminded me of our wee escapade over a week ago where we went out in our shorts and off to the school grounds down the valley to touch some grass, literally for me and my Anyongi. The husband kept his cloud slippers on, but he did lie down on the grass so perhaps that counts? LOL!
From the oval field, we walked across the University grounds. We took the spot some 20-30 meters away from the giant Christmas tree where we could have a view of pretty much anything and where our little guy enjoyed his freedom.
There were some youths playing basketball and volleyball, others having fun over badminton, and a few were glued to their own lil worlds (mobile phone screens) in various spots, kinda unmindful of the fun around them, lol!
One of the cutest things we saw that day was a father accompanying his son on a bike ride.😍
Of course, our little guy is as always, cute too!
As we played, the husband went out of the compound and got us a box of local crustless pizza and some milk tea. We dug right in when he came back because we didn't want the food to get cold.
In fairness, while it lacked other toppings and all, it was quite flavorful, and most importantly, the dough was so tasty that all 8 slices were gone in no time and this was the only shot I got of it, lol! Yes, Anyongi had his tiny share too.
That afternoon, I got the scare of my life when our little pup decided to howl at and chase a huge dog, many times his size and they went past the Christmas tree. He did not have his leash on and at that time, the husband went to the restroom, and all I could do was run after them, haha!
I was relieved when Anyongi stopped by the concrete path and it was where I caught up and got him. The husband and I had our laughs afterward, but I was truly scared. What if during the chase, the big dog turned around and hurt our little guy?
Thankfully, she did not.
Anyway, after resting for a while, we left the spot and strolled along the areas where some more DIY Christmas decorations were seen.
We were en route to where I captured the murals when I noticed these two. Were they doing a choreography or something? They're quite an adorable pair.😍
Perhaps I'd share more on that and more photos next time!😅 But yeah, it was nice being out touching some grass. We shall have more of that next year!
