I was quite excited to learn this week that #OCD will be curating the Feathered Friends channel looking for quality posts that are posted directly into the community.
BIG thanks to OCD for supporting communities and helping them grow in the way they were intended.

A blue Jay visitor-

I think it is common to see the little brown birds and categorize them all together as sparrows without taking a closer look.
This little white throated sparrow with his cute little yellow eyebrows is a good reason to look closer!

I spotted a bird this week that I had never seen before. This Blue-grey Gnatcatcher flitted about for a few minutes giving me only a brief opportunity to snap a couple not good photos before it disappeared back into the tree tops on it's hunt for more insects to eat.

This guy is little. Just a bit bigger than a hummingbird but smaller than a wren. I sure do wish it would have hung around longer for decent photos, but it was still such a thrill to see it. They are pretty rare in my part of the world.

This Wood duck stopped by the spring this week and was swimming down by the old dam. This shot was taken through the window. If I go outside it often scares the ducks away.

A couple of through the window mallard photos-

A cardinal and a house finch sharing a branch in the rain.

The migratory birds are returning and will give me plenty of opportunities for more bird photos this week!
Let's all show #OCD that our posts in the #featheredfriends community are worthy of their curation efforts!
