My neighbor, who lives only a few meters away, recently started selling her homemade halo-halo. For only 50php each, you can enjoy this classic Filipino dessert that’s both affordable and delicious. Honestly, it’s the perfect treat for summer. The shaved ice melts into creamy milk, blending with sweetened fruits, colorful jellies, and that irresistible leche flan topping. Every spoonful feels like a burst of happiness, cooling me down instantly under the blazing sun.
What makes it even more special is knowing that I’m supporting a local small business. My neighbor’s effort to share her homemade halo-halo with the community is inspiring, and I’m glad to be part of it. It’s not just about enjoying a dessert; it’s about celebrating Filipino flavors and uplifting each other through simple acts of support.
