Hello Hiveans, I hope everyone is doing well.
Have you ever known of two siblings born on the same date but not the same year? Well, I have one of my sister's children.
My one and only niece and nephew. Abby was born on October 20, 2007, and after four years Jabez was born on the same date.
Family should stay together
They did not plan it since it was a normal delivery. So whenever their birthdays arrived my sister should prepare a birthday party for both of them. This time it was not a party but a buffet dinner exclusively for my family. My sister decided just to eat at a restaurant to make things easier for her. She is busy right now as she was the branch manager of Chowking in Naga. She has no time to cook and prepare food.
She called us that she reserved at Mani Mogo Restaurant and Daega, a Korean restaurant that we love the most. All my siblings graduated in education and two of them are already in the Department of Education, they have to undertime from work to celebrate.
They started eating when we arrived
They arrived at the venue early and I arrived late cause I had been waiting for my husband as he was also teaching in High school. When we arrived with my husband they already started to eat. Mani mogo was located on the 2nd floor of the Eugenia Square East Poblacion City of Naga, in front of the Mayor's house.
List of side dishes
When you entered the restaurant there was a large menu book where you could choose which unlimited you preferred was it with beef Samgyeopsal or just pure pork. They have a lot of side dishes to choose from.
Korean sauces
Kimchi and pickles
Lots of lettuce
Since it was an early dinner few customers were with just. Lots of sauces were also served, including kimchi, pickles, and fruit salad. Side dishes were chicken wings in different flavors, bulgogi, fish cakes, Tteokbokki, sushi, fries, lots of lettuce, and a bunch of dishes I never knew its name.
Everyone was enjoying the food, it was really good. My mother was not used to eating samgyeopsal, she was just watching us as we enjoyed the food. They have juices and Iced tea which is also unlimited. After eating we sing a birthday song to the celebrants. Everyone was so full that we stayed longer to rest for a while which led to long talks about life.
Unlimited juices
As we grow older we seldom eat together it is because of work and different priorities. Me and my sister who work in Chowking lived away from our ancestral house while my two siblings were with my mother since they were still single. We have a responsibility to do for my mother but we seldom see each other personally, We just have video calls.
My Family
Today is one of the special days to talk and enjoy one another's company. Unlike before when we were young we had some quarrels about who would do the house chores, who would do the dishes and clean the house. It was just a memory for us to talk. Now our schedules are different so we sometimes make time from work just to meet your family and celebrate special occasions or even without occasion. Family is very important, no other people will accept you for who you are and stay with you at your worst.
We parted ways that day with a joyful heart bringing thoughts of hope that we will do this oftentimes. I miss those times when we were together and just plainly happy with one another.
That is all for today's blog, may you enjoy it. Have a wonderful day!
