Last Thursday my cousin received a certificate for having been promoted from sixth grade to the first year of high school.
It was a joy for all of us because her achievement belongs to the family as well, since in one way or another we have all helped her to get to this point.
El jueves de pasado mi prima recibió un certificado por haber sido promovida de sexto grado a primer año de bachillerato.
Fue una alegría para todos porque su logro es de la familia también, ya que de alguna u otra manera todos la hemos ayudado a que llegara a este punto.

Between all of us we gave her a lot of gifts, mostly candy because if there is something that my cousin likes is to eat, no crafts or souvenirs, however, I made her something that I will show you later.
That day we shared a lot as a family and we prepared some pizzas to eat and a cake as well.
Entre todos le hicimos muchos regalos, mas que todo chucherías porque si hay algo que le gusta a mi prima es comer, nada de manualidades ni recuerdos, sin embargo, yo le hice algo que les mostraré más adelante.
Ese día compartimos bastante en familia y preparamos algunas pizzas para comer y una torta también.

The next day, shortly after noon, my aunts and I scraped together some money to take my cousin to a park near our house.
This park has mechanical rides that were installed for the children's vacation season, so we didn't miss the opportunity to go out and share.
Al día siguiente, poco después del medio día, mis tías y yo reunimos algo de dinero para llevar a mi prima a un parque que hay cerca de la casa.
Este parque tiene atracciones mecánicas que instalaron por la época de vacaciones de los niños, así que no perdimos oportunidad de salir a compartir.

Every year they bring these types of parks here to town although this year did not have as many rides as previous years. However, my cousin was thrilled to be able to ride rides like the worm, the wheel and the flying chairs.
Cada año traen este tipo de parques aquí al pueblo aunque este año no tenía tantas atracciones como años anteriores. Sin embargo, mi prima encantada de poder subir a atracciones como el gusano, la rueda y las sillas voladoras.

Certainly the ride that everyone wanted to get on was the wheel, as this is not something that usually comes too much here, at least not in recent years, considering that we have relatively little to come out of the pandemic.
Ciertamente la atracción a la que todos querían subir era a la rueda, pues esta no es algo que suele llegar demasiado aquí, al menos no en los últimos años, considerando que tenemos relativamente poco de salir de la pandemia.
We paid for the tickets and although there were not many people, since it was a weekday and almost everyone was having lunch, we got on the wheel and were given a great ride, where I took the opportunity to take pictures and record some great videos.
Pagamos los tickes y aunque no había mucha gente, pues era día de semana y casi todos estaban almorzando, nos subimos a la rueda y nos dieron un paseo genial, donde aproveché de tomar fotos y grabar algunos videos geniales.

I must admit that the view was beautiful. I don't think I had ever seen this area of the city, especially the square, from so high, so it was without a doubt a short but very nice walk.
It is a great advantage that nowadays one has these devices with which one can capture and immortalize these moments.
Debo admitir que la vista era hermosa. Creo que nunca había visto esta área de la ciudad, sobre todo la plaza, desde tan alto, así que fue sin dudas uno paseo breve pero muy bonito.
Es una gran ventaja que uno cuente hoy en día con estos dispositivos con los que se puedan capturar e inmortalizar estos momentos.

After getting on the wheel, my cousin was a little dizzy because of the height, for her it was the first time she went on one of these attractions.
We sat down for a while to rest, also to take more pictures of the attractions.
Después de subir a la rueda, mi prima quedó un poco mareada por la altura, para ella sí era la primera vez que subía a una de estas atracciones.
Nos sentamos un rato a descansar, también a tomar más fotos de las atracciones.

The last thing she got on was the flying chairs, where my cousin got dizzy and a little nauseous, but it didn't happen. So far so good.
Lo último a lo que ella se subió fue a las sillas voladoras, donde al final sí se mareó mi prima y tuvo un poco de náuseas pero no pasó a mayores. Todo bien hasta aquí.

After the amusement park, where we had a lot of fun, my aunts and I went to eat hot dogs with my cousin, who loves to eat, as I mentioned at the beginning of the post.
We went to a place not far away, where we bought a couple of hot dogs for each of us.
Ya después del parque de atracciones mecánicas, donde nos divertimos bastante, mis tías y yo fuimos a comer perros calientes con mi prima, a quien le encanta comer, como les comenté al principio del post.
Fuimos a un sitio que no queda lejos, donde compramos un par de perros calientes para cada uno.
As you can see, it was a couple of days where we had a great time and where we had a lot of fun as a family, celebrating this promotion of my cousin.
