I heard Mommy D saying "i'm hungry!" -in tagalog of course. Then minutes later I saw her doing something in the kitchen and thats when i saw a familiar pack if Glutinous Rice Flour. When I saw it, I got excited and I feel like I want to get involve. So, I asked her if she's making "Pilipit" or something because I saw the familiar dough she's kneading. She said yes and so I suggested, I think it is good with crushed peanut and sugar in it or a Palitaw, but I added that we lack ingredients for it.
She experimented a bit and that's when she told me that I can help and I happily join in, hehe. There's just one thing in my mind, that's to make a chewy rice cake with crushed peanut and sugar in it. As for Mommy D, as I said, she's still thinking what to make to she's making shapes or whatever to get the result that she want.
Look, this look like in a shape of Empanada haha, that's what I first thought, lol. It's cute and all but Mommy D still undecicded even after making this, lol
As for me, I am already finish crushing the peanuts. I just added the sugar to make it sweeter. And my desired shape for this is flat round dough, and yes this fillings inside of it.
Just like this \(o)/. I only made two with this shape and fillings and the rest, Mommy D make whatever she want with it.
To make it more yummier I topped it with lots of sesame seeds. It already has fillings but putting it inside is kinda challenging because it always had holes in it. Thats also why I only made two on this shape lol.
Its frying time! And in the end Mommy D made it in this shape, like of a donut with huge hole in it. It is also covered in crushed peanuts with sugagr because I couldn't use all the peanuts I prepared.
And here's the cooked ones, it is not just a plain rice cake this time because it has crushed peanuts with sugar and sesame seeds in it.
Now, to make it more delicious and ceispy, I just caramelized some brown sugar like this, just sugar y'all
I dip just the one side of each rice cake in shape of donuts and there we have it. Look at that golden glaze and with spider web? Nahh, thats actually the caramelized sugar after it was stretch out. Actually, Mama thought it is a cat hair hahahaha
And here's my version, with crushes peanuts and sugar inside. It looks good no? Taste so good too. I so love the crispiness of the sesame seed and the glaze on top. I also love the crunch inside of it coz of the peanut. Like \(◎o◎)/
But to be honest, I really want to make Palitaw too, with this as fillings: crushed peanuts and sugar. It doesn't need frying and just boiling then coat it with shredded coconut, the problem is THAT. We don't have it and grating is manually is a lot of work so I ended up with this. Still, it taste amazing so, nyam nyan! I recommend this guys. Wish I could share this to you all (^∇^)ノ♪. On top of that, making it is fun, then Mommy F really enjoy it, I mean all of us are. Everything's gone in a snap as we didn't make so much, but its enough to feed 4 people ♪┌|∵|┘♪
