Happy day beautiful people of @Liketu and @HomeSolutions, I hope you had an amazing weekend, today I decided to join the initiative "My special place" in which the community invites us to tell you about our favorite place at home, and from the first moment I knew which space I wanted to share with you, and it is my little living room.
And when I say small I am not exaggerating, it is a space of just 2.5 meters wide, and although it is about 5 meters long it is quite narrow, because it was really a balcony, which we decided to close and transform into our dining room, and that detail by detail has been taking shape to become what I envisioned for this space.
Being small we obviously could not fill it with furniture and in fact we had to be careful when choosing them so that the place did not feel narrower than it already was, so we decided on a black sofa bed of small dimensions and without arms, which visually makes it take up less space.
On the other hand, the side table as you can see is another small piece with very little volume. At first it was brown but I decided to give it my special touch with art pop napkins that I printed and transferred with glue on the wood, creating one of the pieces of furniture that I love the most at home.
On it, I have some cookbooks, both above and below, some small succulents in a coffee cup and an antique clock that I thought was perfect with the retro style of the table.
Another piece in the living room is a small bookcase that I put together and painted myself, and was designed to create a sort of visual separation between the living room and the dining room.
Like all the other pieces it is quite light, narrow and tall, with a few shelves where I have some law books, as I am a lawyer, I also have encyclopedias for my children and my collection of Paulo Coelho novels, among other books.
There is another piece that is on the focal wall that was also made by me, and which I decided to do looking for ideas to create that different space I wanted for my living room, and it is an overhead bookcase made with two wallet straps that I no longer used, and the metal piece of a disused bicycle. There I have placed other law books.
And finally the only piece of visual weight, and in fact the only large piece of furniture in my living room, is a piece of furniture that you can assemble at home and that of course I also intervened to make it to my taste, since the parts that you see in black, were initially beige, and I decided to change the color to fit perfectly with the rest of the furniture.
This is the central piece of furniture of the whole room. It is what is known as an entertainment cabinet, but as you can see I don't have a TV or stereo, but more books. At this point I think you must have already noticed that I love to read, besides the cactus and succulents, which were recently incorporated, and without a doubt have given a new air to my special place.
As you can see, each piece was chosen conscientiously, plus it has a lot of me in it, and that is why it has become my favorite place at home, the one that makes me breathe in peace, and very proud of what I was able to achieve in it.

Feliz día gente bella de @Liketu y @HomeSolutions, espero hayan tenido un fin de semana increíble, el día de hoy decidí unirme a la iniciativa "Mi lugar especial" en el cual la comunidad nos invita a contarles sobre nuestro lugar favorito en casa, y desde el primer momento supe cuál era ese espacio que quería compartir con ustedes, y se trata de mi pequeña sala.
Y cuando les digo pequeña no exagero, se trata de un espacio de apenas 2.5 metros de ancho, y aunque tiene cerca de unos 5 de largo es bastante estrecho, pues realmente era un balcón, el cual decidimos cerrar y transformar en nuestra sala comedor, y el que detalle a detalle ha ido tomando forma hasta convertirse en lo que visualicé para este espacio.
Al ser pequeño obviamente no podíamos llenarlo de muebles y de hecho debimos ser cuidadosos a la hora de escogerlos para que el lugar no se sintiera más estrecho de lo que ya era, por lo que nos decidimos por un sofá cama negro de pequeñas dimensiones y sin brazos, lo que visualmente hace que ocupe menos espacio.
Por otro lado lado, la mesita auxiliar como ven es otra pieza pequeña y con muy poco volumen. En un inicio era de color marrón pero decidí darle mi toque especial con servilletas art pop que yo misma imprimí y transferí con pega sobre la madera, creando uno de los muebles a los que más le tengo cariño en casa.
Sobre el, tengo algunos libros de cocina, tanto arriba, como abajo, unas pequeñas suculentas en una taza de cafe y un reloj antiguo que me pareció iba perfecto con el estilo retro de la mesita.
Otra de las piezas que se encuentran en la sala es una pequeña biblioteca que yo misma armé y pinte, y fué ideada para crear una especie de separación visual entre la sala y el comedor.
Como todas las demás piezas es bastante ligera, angosta y alta, con unas cuantas repisas donde tengo algunos libros de Derecho, pues soy Abogada, también tengo enciclopedias para mis hijos y mi colección de novelas de Paulo Coelho, entre otros libros.
Hay otra pieza que se encuentra en la pared focal que también fue elaborada por mí, y la cual decidí hacer buscando ideas para crear ese espacio diferente que quería para mi sala, y se trata de un librero aéreo hecho con dos correas de carteras que ya no usaba, y la pieza metálica de una bicicleta en desuso. Ahí tengo ubicados otros libros de Derecho.
Y finalmente la única pieza de peso visual, y de hecho el único mueble grande de mi sala, es un mueble de esos que puedes armar en casa y que por supuesto también intervine para hacerlo a mi gusto, ya que las partes que ven en color negro, inicialmente eran beige, y decidí cambiarles el color para que encajaran perfectamente con el resto del mobiliario.
Este es el mueble central de toda la sala. Es lo que se conoce como un mueble de entretenimiento, pero como pueden ver no tengo en el televisor ni equipos de sonido, sino más libros. En este punto creo que ya deben haberse dado cuenta que amo leer, además de los cactus y suculentas, que fueron incorporados hace poco,y sin lugar a dudas le han dado un nuevo aire a mi lugar especial.
Como pueden ver, cada pieza fue escogida a conciencia, además tiene muchisimo de mi en ella,y es por eso que se ha convertido en mi lugar favorito de casa, ese que me hace respirar en paz, y muy orgullosa de lo que pude lograr en él.
