Permítanme contarle que a mí, esposo y a mí nos gusta mucho el arte, cada uno tiene su estilo, pero solemos converger en algunos gustos, en este caso se trata de las figuras geométricas. Nos encantan los diseños con formas geométricas, siempre estamos viendo dibujos, cuadros y sobre todo tatuajes que tenemos en mente hacernos justamente con diseños geométricos. Me parece increíble.
De esta forma teníamos una idea en mente para nuestro cuarto. Ya Habíamos comprado desde hace meses la pintura para nuestro cuarto, por razones de tiempo no habíamos podido ponernos a pintarlo, entonces la cuarentena nos cayó como anillo al dedo y nos pusimos manos a la obra para matar el tiempo y no dejar que el encierro acabará con nosotros.
Lo primero que hicimos partiendo de la idea que ya teníamos en mente fue unificar criterios y gustos partiendo de un boceto que hicimos juntos, así estuviéramos de acuerdo los dos, total era nuestra habitación y debía de gustarnos a los dos. Fue un buen ejercicio para nuestra mente, nos mantuvo distraídos, sin pensar tantas vainas y estuvo divertido.
Pintamos el cuarto de marrón y beige, pero la pared más grande donde pegamos la cama o mejor dicho la pared que queda de fondo, decidimos hacerle un diseño geométrico de un gran cubo y que a su vez se fuesen viendo otro cubo dentro y también saliendo más cubos, que visualmente se viera como si la unión de varios cubos formaba un cubo grande. El diseño se entendía luego hasta el techo. Me encantó muchísimo y a él también.
Esto, además de gustarnos, tiene un simbolismo de Unión para nosotros, es una forma de decirnos a nosotros mismos que poco a poco se logran grandes cosas, que la unión está la fuerza y que con nuestro empeño hacemos que lo pequeño se vuelva grande. Eso en plena pandemia nos ayudó mucho.
La pared me encanta de fondo para mis fotos cuando practico maquillaje o me pruebo algunos estilos de ropa.
En la casa también está un arte muy lindo, se trata de un cuadro hecho por mi hijo en crayones de cera. Este lo hizo cuando él tenía 7 años, al principio tenía algo de miedo a atreverse, pero las ganas pudieron más. Siempre me decía que él quería dibujar un cuadro y en la casa hay muchos, entonces eligió él que tenía tiempo llamndole la atención, pero no quiso hacerlo en pintura, sino en crayones de cera. Le tomó varios días hacerlo y verdad le quedó muy lindo. Fue un logro para él por ser primera vez.
Fue lindo porque además que lo hizo como él queria y a su ritmo, tomó un espacio de la casa que lo llamó el rincón del arte y teníamos prohibido ir a mirar como iba el cuadro. Él lo dejaba tapado con una sábana, de verdad que nadie miró hasta que él hizo la presentación de su arte final. Nos sentó en el mueble de la sala y descubrió su obra. Yo quedé impresionada en serio, lo había visto dibujar ciertas cosas, pero nada como eso y a esa edad me parecía sorprendente.
El arte en nuestra casa y como familia es algo que siempre está presente, casa uno con nuestro estilo, con nuestras preferencias al momento de trabajar, pero es algo que nos permite conectar más como familia, tener un tema de que hablar, escoger en libertad que tipo de arte queremos desarrollar y demostrar. It was a good exercise for our mind, it kept us distracted, without thinking so many things and it was fun.
We painted the room brown and beige, but the biggest wall where we put the bed or rather the wall that is in the background, we decided to make a geometric design of a large cube and in turn we could see another cube inside and also more cubes coming out, that visually it looked as if the union of several cubes formed a large cube. The design was then understood up to the ceiling. I loved it and so did he.
This, besides the fact that we like it, has a symbolism of union for us, it is a way of telling ourselves that little by little great things are achieved, that union is strength and that with our efforts we make small things become big. That helped us a lot in the middle of the pandemic.
I love the wall as a background for my photos when I practice my make-up or try on some styles of clothes.
In the house there is also a very nice piece of art, it is a painting made by my son in wax crayons. This was done when he was 7 years old, at first he was a little afraid to dare, but the desire was stronger. He always told me that he wanted to draw a picture and there are many in the house, so he chose the one that had been calling his attention for a long time, but he didn't want to do it in paint, but in wax crayons. It took him several days to do it and it really turned out very nice. It was an achievement for him as it was his first time.
It was nice because he did it the way he wanted and at his own pace, he took a space in the house that he called the art corner and we were forbidden to go and look at the painting. He left it covered with a sheet, really no one looked until he made the presentation of his final art. He sat us down on the living room furniture and unveiled his work. I was seriously impressed, I had seen him draw certain things, but nothing like that and at that age I thought it was amazing.
Art in our home and as a family is something that is always present, each one with our style, with our preferences when working, but it is something that allows us to connect more as a family, to have a topic to talk about, to choose freely what kind of art we want to develop and show. Thanks to
