Calisthenics Workout to Strengthen Your Core for the Plank💥
Hello to all the athletes in the #Hive and #SWC community! I hope everyone is feeling well and has the energy to keep training. Today I want to share my experience with a calisthenics session focused on strengthening your core for the plank, a movement that requires a lot of technique and body control. During this workout, I performed several variations of the lean planche, a fundamental exercise for gaining strength in the full plank. I worked on three main positions: supine lean planche, prone lean planche, and a wider prone lean planche. In each position, I held the position in three phases: first with my body elevated for 10 seconds, then at a 90-degree angle for another 10 seconds, and finally, in a deeper incline for 10 seconds.
I also included deliplash exercises, ideal for strengthening your core and activating key muscles such as your lats, abs, hips, scapulae, and traps. It's essential to maintain a strict posture, with the body well aligned and each muscle working in a coordinated manner.
I repeated each variation three to four times, resting three to four minutes between sets. Although these exercises seem simple, they are very demanding and have been quite difficult for me, even with experience in calisthenics. Still, they are perfect for improving strength and technique, and I recommend them to anyone looking to progress with the plank.
