Behind every basic exercise comes strength, behind every attempt and every repetition comes greater mastery; but, above all, it's through discipline that we can break new limits, and that's where the real secret lies. That's why, today, in addition to sharing some images about body weight, I want to share with you a lesson that can take you from one place to another, if you apply it with consistency, dedication, and hard work.
Nowadays, we tend to think that to be in a sport, we need motivation. And yes, although that factor is important at the beginning, what will truly help us surpass our limits is discipline. It's about how we plan each day, how we work consistently, and how we give that little bit of effort even on the days when we feel least like training. Although it may sometimes be difficult due to work, family, personal issues, or simply lack of time, I think and believe that with good planning, it's always possible to keep that commitment, even when circumstances aren't in our favor.
Something I've learned throughout my athletic career is that age, height, or physical condition doesn't matter, as long as we make the decision to make a change today. This is where I want to invite the entire Hive community to be motivated and inspired. In my case, I'm 36 years old, suffer from spinal hernias, and my height isn't ideal for training in the static area of calisthenics. Even so, with my job and all my daily responsibilities, I try every day not to give up, to prove to myself that the key to success is to keep going, to give it my all, and to take another step forward. This is where I sincerely hope that this experience or these words can serve as inspiration to keep going with any sport you choose, because the secret isn't in motivation, it's in discipline. Thank you for supporting me.
