Today I'm going to talk about a calisthenics workout I did at 's house. In this session, I was able to share a great routine focused on static planches and front levers. I also want to let you know that I've started a new mesocycle focused primarily on volume. The goal of this phase is to accumulate a good number of repetitions and seconds to take my strength to the next level. You'll see all this and more in this post. La parte principal de la sesión se centró en realizar negativas de half planche asistidas con una banda elástica. Ejecuté dos repeticiones por serie, lo que me permitió mantener una técnica excelente y un control total en el descenso lento. Este ejercicio lo combiné con un bloque de front lever que consistía en un touch a full, seguido de una dominada y tres presses con su respectivo aguante isométrico. En todo momento prioricé la calidad técnica de cada movimiento. Es fundamental mantener el enfoque en la retracción escapular para asegurar que el estímulo sea el correcto en la espalda.
Un momento que me hizo sentir muy feliz fue lograr, por fin, tres presses seguidos de tuck planche. Era algo que anteriormente no me salía por falta de fuerza, pero el testeo de hoy confirmó mi mejoría. Realicé estos tres presses con su respectivo aguante y seguidamente ejecuté una lean planche inclinada simulando la postura de la full planche para trabajar el palanqueo. Complementé esto con un fortalecimiento de base en front lever, realizando combos de pull ups, touch y pull ups to touch en progresión advanced. Los resultados fueron bastante satisfactorios y sentí una gran fluidez en los movimientos.
Para culminar la sesión, realicé aperturas, flexiones y aguantes en lean planche para terminar de agotar los hombros y bíceps. En el bloque de front lever, hice aguantes en touch y aperturas abiertas. Cerré con trabajo específico de escápula para ambos estáticos, buscando mejorar tanto la protracción como la retracción. Me satisface mucho haber cumplido con esta sesión nocturna y notar que el progreso es constante. Sé que este mesociclo traerá grandes resultados y estoy comprometido con mi disciplina. The main part of the session focused on assisted half planches with a resistance band. I performed two repetitions per set, which allowed me to maintain excellent technique and complete control during the slow descent. I combined this exercise with a front lever block consisting of a full touch, followed by a pull-up and three presses with their respective isometric hold. Throughout, I prioritized the technical quality of each movement. It is essential to maintain focus on scapular retraction to ensure the correct stimulus for the back.
A moment that made me very happy was finally achieving three consecutive tuck planche presses. It was something I hadn't been able to do before due to a lack of strength, but today's test confirmed my improvement. I performed these three presses with their respective holds and then executed an incline lean planche, simulating the full planche position to work on leverage. I complemented this with a foundational strengthening of the front lever, performing pull-up combos, touch pull-ups, and pull-ups to touch in advanced progression. The results were quite satisfactory, and I felt a great fluidity in the movements.
To finish the session, I performed flyes, push-ups, and holds in the lean planche to further exhaust my shoulders and biceps. In the front lever block, I did touch holds and wide flyes. I closed with specific scapular work for both static positions, aiming to improve both protraction and retraction. I'm very pleased to have completed this evening session and to see that the progress is consistent. I know this mesocycle will bring great results, and I'm committed to my discipline.
