Voy a hablarles sobre mi participaci贸n en la clasificatoria de la competencia 0Gravity Statics Legends, celebrada en la ciudad de San Crist贸bal el pasado 14 de diciembre en el gimnasio Krieger Box. Tuve la oportunidad de participar y dar mi mejor esfuerzo f铆sico en este evento. En esta publicaci贸n les contar茅 c贸mo me fue en la ronda clasificatoria, adem谩s de compartir im谩genes de los est谩ticos que realic茅 durante mi presentaci贸n. Todo esto y m谩s lo ver谩n a continuaci贸n. I'm going to tell you about my participation in the 0Gravity Statics Legends competition qualifier, held in San Crist贸bal on December 14th at the Krieger Box gym. I had the opportunity to participate and give it my all at this event. In this post, I'll tell you how I did in the qualifying round, as well as share pictures of the static holds I performed during my presentation. You'll see all this and more below. A los atletas se nos permiti贸 elegir nuestra propia m煤sica para la presentaci贸n. Yo seleccion茅 la canci贸n "Live Forever" del autor "Clepsydra", la cual me ayud贸 a concentrarme y motivarme durante mi ronda clasificatoria. Una vez que todo estuvo listo y todos est谩bamos preparados para dar lo mejor, me toc贸 el turno de pasar primero.
La ronda clasificatoria dur贸 un minuto completo. Comenc茅 con un press de straddle planche, cuya forma no fue perfectamente limpia, pero estuvo aceptable. Inmediatamente despu茅s, realic茅 flexiones de plancha. Luego, pas茅 a la barra para ejecutar una pull up to touch con aguante, seguida de un press a touch. Estos movimientos me salieron bien, aunque los nervios hicieron que mis pies subieran un poco m谩s de lo debido. Me siento satisfecho con lo que di en esta etapa, aunque debo admitir que me sent铆 cansado y sin aliento, en parte debido a la presi贸n y los nervios del momento. The athletes were allowed to choose their own music for the presentation. I selected the song "Live Forever" by Clepsydra, which helped me focus and stay motivated during my qualifying round. Once everything was ready and we were all prepared to give it our best, it was my turn to go first.
The qualifying round lasted a full minute. I started with a straddle planche press, which wasn't perfectly clean, but it was acceptable. Immediately afterward, I performed planche push-ups. Then, I moved to the bar to perform a hold pull-up to touch, followed by a press to touch. These movements went well, although nerves caused my feet to lift a little higher than they should have. I continued with another pull-up and another press, holding the position at the end of the front lever movement.
Next, I pulled myself up and performed a positive 90-degree straddle planche with a supinated grip, holding the position for three seconds. Then, I lowered myself and did a Victorian lever on the bar, although I only managed to hold it for two seconds. Next, I executed a one-arm back lever, followed by a transition from a one-arm back lever to a regular back lever. I finished with a back lever press, holding the position, and completed the combo with a front lever hold.
This was my qualifying round, and I managed to get a good score, placing eighth out of the top 12 in the competition. I'm satisfied with my performance in this stage, although I must admit I felt tired and out of breath, partly due to the pressure and nerves of the moment.
