I was born, grew up and am getting old in my little town, Villa de Cura, a town that like many others around the world suffers from shortages and needs in all aspects, and I have seen firsthand the shortcomings of a group of elderly people who live in the Santo Domingo Home for the Elderly, I have seen firsthand the needs of a group of elderly people who live in the Santo Domingo Home for the Elderly, an asylum founded by the Marian Sisters more than 70 years ago and that currently has been forgotten as well as the grandparents (as we affectionately call them) who reside there, people who have arrived there either of their own free will, others have been abandoned by their families and some have been taken by people who in order to help them have decided to leave them there, because it is better than being on the streets. Currently, there are approximately 60 people living under the roofs of this asylum that currently has been deteriorated by the passage of time and the inclemencies of the environment, fallen ceilings, cracked walls and endless structural damage to its facilities that do not allow these grandparents to have at least a decent place in which to spend the days and nights they have left on this plane.
Now, the greatest of the shortages and the most serious or urgent, to say the least that must be covered, is the need for food and basic medicines, because at present they do not have government support or any civil association to provide them with the corresponding support to cover these basic needs for every human being. Those of us who help with what is within our economic reach, have resorted to holding events to collect perishable and non-perishable food to cover the nutritional needs of the elderly, however, this sometimes is not enough to cover the minimum weekly quota of food for them. Many people excuse themselves in that probably these "old people" as they call them in a derogatory way are there alone and practically abandoned, because, life is taking its toll on them for their bad acts in their youth, and is that the heart of the human being has hardened so much that every day is more difficult to find good people who want to do something for their fellow men and women.
A dignified old age is the least that every human being should have, with at least the basic services covered, food, medicine and clothing, a roof to shelter their bodies and a bed to sleep in, you have to remember that the young people of today are the old people of the future and I don't think anyone would want to end up in a place like this. This asylum being in optimal conditions, would have the capacity to house 50 elderly, however, it can only have in its enclosure about 30 who are day and night, and it also serves 10 elderly nuns who also reside there, and also provides food to approximately 10 people who go daily at mealtimes and who are homeless, or live alone in nearby houses. There are a total of 10 people who work at the center, who do so on a voluntary basis and do not receive any type of remuneration for their services; however, they are provided with food as payment for their work. In conclusion, there are 30 elderly people and 10 nuns, and food is also provided to 20 people who, although they do not stay overnight, require it.

Siempre he escuchado que el ciclo de la vida consiste en Nacer, Crecer, Envejecer y Morir, sin embargo, son incontables las personas que no logran tan siquiera llegar a los 40 y mucho menos terminar de envejecer, así como también existe un sinnúmero de personas que logran llegar a la vejez, llamada también tercera edad con muchísimo menos de lo que una persona promedio debería tener. Cada ser humano tiene derecho a una alimentación y salud digna por decir lo menos, y esto para muchos se queda tan solo en un derecho sin cumplir o incluso en un sueño intangible más. Si bien es cierto que cada quien se labra su propio destino, también es verdad que no todos cuentan con las mismas oportunidades de crecimiento y mucho menos con la misma motivación.
Nací, crecí y estoy envejeciendo en mi pueblito, Villa de Cura, pueblo que como muchos otros a nivel mundial sufren de carencias y necesidades en todos los aspectos, y he visto de cerca las carencias que tienen un grupo de ancianos que hacen vida en el Asilo para Ancianos Santo Domingo, un asilo fundado por las hermanas marianas hace más de 70 años y que actualmente ha sido olvidado al igual que los abuelitos (como le decimos por cariño) que allí residen, personas que han llegado allí bien por voluntad propia, otros han sido abandonados por sus familias y algunos han sido llevados por personas que en pro de ayudarlos han decidido dejarles allí, pues es mejor que estar en las calles. Actualmente, hay aproximadamente 60 personas viviendo bajo los techos de este asilo que actualmente se ha visto deteriorado por el pasar del tiempo y las inclemencias del medio ambiente, techos caídos, paredes agrietadas y un sinfín de daños estructurales en sus instalaciones que no permiten que estos abuelitos tengan al menos un lugar digno en el cual pasar los días y noches que les quedan en este plano.
Ahora bien, la mayor de las carencias y la más grave o urgente, por decirlo menos que debe ser cubierta, es la necesidad de alimentos y medicamentos básicos, pues en la actualidad no cuentan con un apoyo gubernamental o de alguna asociación civil que les preste el apoyo correspondiente para cubrir estas necesidades básicas para cada ser humano. Los que ayudamos con lo que esta a nuestro alcance económico, hemos recurrido a la realización de eventos para recaudar alimentos perecederos y no perecederos para cubrir las necesidades alimenticias de los ancianos, sin embargo, esto en ocasiones no alcanza para cubrir la cuota mínima semanal de comida para los mismos. Muchas personas se excusan en que probablemente estos “viejos” como les llaman de manera despectiva están allí solos y prácticamente abandonados, pues, la vida les esta pasando factura por sus malos actos en su juventud, y es que el corazón del ser humano se ha endurecido tanto que cada día es más difícil encontrar buenas personas que quieran hacer algo por el prójimo
Una vejez digna es lo menos que cada ser humano debería tener, con al menos los servicios básicos cubiertos, alimentación, medicina y ropa, un techo donde poder guarecer sus cuerpos y una cama donde dormir, hay que recordar que los jóvenes de hoy son los ancianos del futuro y que no creo que alguien desee terminar en un lugar de esta manera. Es necesario un apoyo constante para estas personas y pienso que una de las mejores maneras de llevar a Hive más allá de las pantallas de una computadora o de un teléfono móvil, es haciendo labor social, y si bien es cierto que hay un sinfín de labores sociales que podríamos realizar y que podrían tal vez llamar más la atención, también es cierto que estos seres humanos merecen una oportunidad y que si bien ellos no son usuarios de nuestra blockchain y que probablemente nunca lo lleguen a ser, también podemos llegar a más personas, gracias a una labor como esta, hacer ver que la blockchain es más que un montón de números que muchos no entienden, que puede convertirse en algo tangible, en algo real hasta para los que no creen que esto pueda ser posible.
Por el momento esta es una idea que tenemos desde hace mucho rato mi hermano y yo, que aunque mi hermano tiene poco tiempo dentro de la plataforma, fue gracias a él que yo llegue a conocer las bondades de la blockchain, nosotros ayudamos en la medida de lo posible, sin embargo, ya la situación se ha agravado para los abuelitos, sus alacenas y refrigeradores están vacíos, y son pocas las personas que ayudan, aunado a que de los 40 abuelitos que hay actualmente en el recinto, solo dos o tres reciben ayuda esporádica de sus familiares, algunos de ellos requieren de cuidados y dietas especiales, sin embargo, la necesidad los ha llevado a comer lo que con mucho esfuerzo logra recolectar la Hermana Trinidad (directora del asilo desde el año 2000). Sacar a Hive de las pantallas no solo se reduce a realizar reuniones para conocer otros Hivers, lo cual es una de las actividades que más amo, pues conocer a otras personas que como nosotros hacen una vida dentro de la blockchain y que gracias a la misma pueden vivir de una mejor manera es fundamental para estrechar vínculos que a través de los años se han logrado consolidar.
En repetidas oportunidades hemos visitado el Asilo de Ancianos Santo Domingo, ubicado en Villa de Cura, Estado Aragua en Venezuela, en pro de ayudar a los ancianos que aquí hacen vida, sin embargo en nuestra última visita hemos realizado una inspección de las instalaciones, en donde se pudo verificar que sus alacenas y neveras se encuentran totalmente desabastecidas, además de eso, los techos de las habitaciones principales, que es donde descansan los ancianos se encuentran deteriorados por las inclemencias del tiempo y la falta de mantenimiento de los mismos, la Hermana Trinidad, nos cuenta que este ha sido el motivo por el que ella ha solicitado ayuda en más de una ocasión a las autoridades gubernamentales y en más de una oportunidad han realizado un mal trabajo o ninguno incluso y en la actualidad estas habitaciones no puedes ser utilizadas, motivo por el cual las abuelitas que dormían en estas han tenido que ser trasladadas a otra habitación viendo afectado el espacio que comparten las mismas. La mayor parte de los baños de las instalaciones están en malas condiciones, aun cuando algunos han sido remodelados, los sistemas de drenaje no funcionan de manera óptima.

Este asilo estando en óptimas condiciones estaría en la capacidad de albergar 50 ancianos, sin embargo, apenas puede tener en su recinto a unos 30 que están día y noche, y se atiende además a 10 Monjas de la tercera edad que allí residen también, además de les suministra comida a 10 personas aproximadamente que van a diario a la hora de las comidas y que se encuentran en situación de calle, o viven solos en casas aledañas. Las personas que laboran en el recinto, son un total de 10 personas, estos lo hacen de manera voluntaria y sin percibir ningún tipo de remuneración por sus servicios, sin embargo, se les suministra la comida como pago por sus labores. En conclusión, residen 30 ancianos y 10 monjas y además se les suministra alimentos a 20 personas que, aunque no pernoctan en el recinto, lo requieren.
Es una triste realidad la que se puede visualizar en los almacenes de alimentos de este recinto, una cava cuarto refrigeradora que además de estar en malas condiciones alberga poco menos de un par de kilogramos de vegetales, y en donde se deberían almacenar las verduras y los alimentos no perecederos lo que apenas se logra ver son un par de cestas con algunos ajíes y unos cuantos kilos de batata / boniato, y cuando vemos el refrigerador en donde debería guardarse las proteínas y el queso, esta se encuentra completamente vacío, al momento de mi última visita, solo contaban con 3 kg de arroz, 1 kg de espaguetis y 1 kg de harina de maíz, y ninguna proteína para acompañarlos y preparar una cena digna para los abuelitos.

Una de las cosas que he descubierto gracias a la Blockchain de Hive, es que sin lugar a dudas es capaz de cambiar vidas de manera positiva a todos los usuarios de nuestra comunidad, generando la siguiente pregunta en mi mente ¿Podemos también cambiar la vida de los que aún no son usuarios de Hive? Cambiar la vida de personas que ni siquiera tienen idea de lo que es el mundo de la blockchain o las criptomonedas; yo estoy segura de que si podemos hacerlo, y de la manera más positiva y noble posible, dando esto un impulso gigante a lo que es la visión de Hive fuera de las pantallas, haciendo notable lo que es la capacidad de generar dinero de manera virtual gracias a la blockchain, y eliminando así los estigmas sociales que un gran número de personas han creado en torno al mundo criptográfico, demostrando así que Hive es dinero tangible, contante y sonante que puede utilizarse para cubrir nuestras necesidades, desde las más básicas hasta las más banales, porque los que estamos en este mundo desde hace rato sabemos que es posible, sin embargo, el número de personas que no tienen idea de ello es incontable aun.
La Solución a la problemática más crítica e importante del Asilo Santo Domingo, es el suministro de alimentos para los que dependen de la actividad del mismo, para ello se hace la propuesta de hacer actividades que nos ayuden a recolectar el dinero correspondiente para cubrir la necesidad básica de alimentos de los ancianos, apoyar de manera directa con la compra de alimentos para surtir la despensa del Asilo y de esta manera asegurar la alimentación de los ancianos y colaboradores. Si bien es cierto que estos ancianos no son usuarios activos de Hive, y probablemente no lo sean nunca, pues no cuentan con el conocimiento ni las herramientas para serlos, se pueden hacer actividades que llamen la atención de la población y, de los medios locales, así como también de Hivers de la población y de comunidades cercanas que hagan eco de las actividades, dejando así en alto el nombre de Hive como comunidad y como blockchain.

Actualmente, hay aproximadamente 60 personas viviendo bajo los techos de este asilo que actualmente se ha visto deteriorado por el pasar del tiempo y las inclemencias del medio ambiente, techos caídos, paredes agrietadas y un sinfín de daños estructurales en sus instalaciones que no permiten que estos abuelitos tengan al menos un lugar digno en el cual pasar los días y noches que les quedan en este plano.
Ahora bien, la mayor de las carencias y la más grave o urgente, por decirlo menos que debe ser cubierta, es la necesidad de alimentos y medicamentos básicos, pues en la actualidad no cuentan con un apoyo gubernamental o de alguna asociación civil que les preste el apoyo correspondiente para cubrir estas necesidades básicas para cada ser humano. Los que ayudamos con lo que esta a nuestro alcance económico, hemos recurrido a la realización de eventos para recaudar alimentos perecederos y no perecederos para cubrir las necesidades alimenticias de los ancianos, sin embargo, esto en ocasiones no alcanza para cubrir la cuota mínima semanal de comida para los mismos. Muchas personas se excusan en que probablemente estos “viejos” como les llaman de manera despectiva están allí solos y prácticamente abandonados, pues, la vida les esta pasando factura por sus malos actos en su juventud, y es que el corazón del ser humano se ha endurecido tanto que cada día es más difícil encontrar buenas personas que quieran hacer algo por el prójimo
Una vejez digna es lo menos que cada ser humano debería tener, con al menos los servicios básicos cubiertos, alimentación, medicina y ropa, un techo donde poder guarecer sus cuerpos y una cama donde dormir, hay que recordar que los jóvenes de hoy son los ancianos del futuro y que no creo que alguien desee terminar en un lugar de esta manera. Es necesario un apoyo constante para estas personas y pienso que una de las mejores maneras de llevar a Hive más allá de las pantallas de una computadora o de un teléfono móvil, es haciendo labor social, y si bien es cierto que hay un sinfín de labores sociales que podríamos realizar y que podrían tal vez llamar más la atención, también es cierto que estos seres humanos merecen una oportunidad y que si bien ellos no son usuarios de nuestra blockchain y que probablemente nunca lo lleguen a ser, también podemos llegar a más personas, gracias a una labor como esta, hacer ver que la blockchain es más que un montón de números que muchos no entienden, que puede convertirse en algo tangible, en algo real hasta para los que no creen que esto pueda ser posible.
Por el momento esta es una idea que tenemos desde hace mucho rato mi hermano
y yo, que aunque mi hermano tiene poco tiempo dentro de la plataforma, fue gracias a él que yo llegue a conocer las bondades de la blockchain, nosotros ayudamos en la medida de lo posible, sin embargo, ya la situación se ha agravado para los abuelitos, sus alacenas y refrigeradores están vacíos, y son pocas las personas que ayudan, aunado a que de los 40 abuelitos que hay actualmente en el recinto, solo dos o tres reciben ayuda esporádica de sus familiares, algunos de ellos requieren de cuidados y dietas especiales, sin embargo, la necesidad los ha llevado a comer lo que con mucho esfuerzo logra recolectar la Hermana Trinidad (directora del asilo desde el año 2000). Sacar a Hive de las pantallas no solo se reduce a realizar reuniones para conocer otros Hivers, lo cual es una de las actividades que más amo, pues conocer a otras personas que como nosotros hacen una vida dentro de la blockchain y que gracias a la misma pueden vivir de una mejor manera es fundamental para estrechar vínculos que a través de los años se han logrado consolidar.
En repetidas oportunidades hemos visitado el Asilo de Ancianos Santo Domingo, ubicado en Villa de Cura, Estado Aragua en Venezuela, en pro de ayudar a los ancianos que aquí hacen vida, sin embargo en nuestra última visita hemos realizado una inspección de las instalaciones, en donde se pudo verificar que sus alacenas y neveras se encuentran totalmente desabastecidas, además de eso, los techos de las habitaciones principales, que es donde descansan los ancianos se encuentran deteriorados por las inclemencias del tiempo y la falta de mantenimiento de los mismos, la Hermana Trinidad, nos cuenta que este ha sido el motivo por el que ella ha solicitado ayuda en más de una ocasión a las autoridades gubernamentales y en más de una oportunidad han realizado un mal trabajo o ninguno incluso y en la actualidad estas habitaciones no puedes ser utilizadas, motivo por el cual las abuelitas que dormían en estas han tenido que ser trasladadas a otra habitación viendo afectado el espacio que comparten las mismas. La mayor parte de los baños de las instalaciones están en malas condiciones, aun cuando algunos han sido remodelados, los sistemas de drenaje no funcionan de manera óptima.

Este asilo estando en óptimas condiciones estaría en la capacidad de albergar 50 ancianos, sin embargo, apenas puede tener en su recinto a unos 30 que están día y noche, y se atiende además a 10 Monjas de la tercera edad que allí residen también, además de les suministra comida a 10 personas aproximadamente que van a diario a la hora de las comidas y que se encuentran en situación de calle, o viven solos en casas aledañas. Las personas que laboran en el recinto, son un total de 10 personas, estos lo hacen de manera voluntaria y sin percibir ningún tipo de remuneración por sus servicios, sin embargo, se les suministra la comida como pago por sus labores. En conclusión, residen 30 ancianos y 10 monjas y además se les suministra alimentos a 20 personas que, aunque no pernoctan en el recinto, lo requieren.
Es una triste realidad la que se puede visualizar en los almacenes de alimentos de este recinto, una cava cuarto refrigeradora que además de estar en malas condiciones alberga poco menos de un par de kilogramos de vegetales, y en donde se deberían almacenar las verduras y los alimentos no perecederos lo que apenas se logra ver son un par de cestas con algunos ajíes y unos cuantos kilos de batata / boniato, y cuando vemos el refrigerador en donde debería guardarse las proteínas y el queso, esta se encuentra completamente vacío, al momento de mi última visita, solo contaban con 3 kg de arroz, 1 kg de espaguetis y 1 kg de harina de maíz, y ninguna proteína para acompañarlos y preparar una cena digna para los abuelitos.

Una de las cosas que he descubierto gracias a la Blockchain de Hive, es que sin lugar a dudas es capaz de cambiar vidas de manera positiva a todos los usuarios de nuestra comunidad, generando la siguiente pregunta en mi mente ¿Podemos también cambiar la vida de los que aún no son usuarios de Hive? Cambiar la vida de personas que ni siquiera tienen idea de lo que es el mundo de la blockchain o las criptomonedas; yo estoy segura de que si podemos hacerlo, y de la manera más positiva y noble posible, dando esto un impulso gigante a lo que es la visión de Hive fuera de las pantallas, haciendo notable lo que es la capacidad de generar dinero de manera virtual gracias a la blockchain, y eliminando así los estigmas sociales que un gran número de personas han creado en torno al mundo criptográfico, demostrando así que Hive es dinero tangible, contante y sonante que puede utilizarse para cubrir nuestras necesidades, desde las más básicas hasta las más banales, porque los que estamos en este mundo desde hace rato sabemos que es posible, sin embargo, el número de personas que no tienen idea de ello es incontable aun.
La Solución a la problemática más crítica e importante del Asilo Santo Domingo, es el suministro de alimentos para los que dependen de la actividad del mismo, para ello se hace la propuesta de hacer actividades que nos ayuden a recolectar el dinero correspondiente para cubrir la necesidad básica de alimentos de los ancianos, apoyar de manera directa con la compra de alimentos para surtir la despensa del Asilo y de esta manera asegurar la alimentación de los ancianos y colaboradores. Si bien es cierto que estos ancianos no son usuarios activos de Hive, y probablemente no lo sean nunca, pues no cuentan con el conocimiento ni las herramientas para serlos, se pueden hacer actividades que llamen la atención de la población y, de los medios locales, así como también de Hivers de la población y de comunidades cercanas que hagan eco de las actividades, dejando así en alto el nombre de Hive como comunidad y como blockchain.
