Getting a job when you emigrate is not easy. In Spain you need training or preparation for any job you want to do, from pet walking, to babysitting, even cleaning floors. That's why I've been attending a training course in cooking and waiter, they are jobs with lots of opportunities for everyones. Cesal ONG it's a restaurant school for immigrants, refugees, unemployed people, which is funded by the government, and i had the opportunity to be select by the course and now i'm going to start in this new adventure.
My first two weeks were exhausting but i'm happy, I was learning basic waiter notions and for a beginning i have done very well, i can say that i have learned so many things since preparing a creamy coffee, serving a beer in the right way, doing the tables and the most complicated thing i think has been to manage the tray where you carry the food, a big respect to those who juggle because i still can't put so many glasses and plates on it 😅.
On the other way, in the kitchen i have learned cutting techniques, names of utensils and some Spanish food which is very important if you want a job as a Chef here (it's really a success for me because i don't know even cook Venezuelan food jaja🥲)
Meeting people from other cultures has been a challenge, French, Dominicans, but most of them are refugees from Moroccan, who only speak Arabic and the communication between us has been a bit difficult but it has been successful. At the end of each class they give us a snack, same ones that we prepare in the kitchen (the effort is rewarded haha 😋 ). I will be telling you more about the formation later, i will have to decide which one of the two occupations and that's exitings me because the programme will be deeply focused on the one that most I like to do. This is something totally different and new for me, i'm always thought that learning different things and daring to do is a challenge and it will always open many doors for you.

Conseguir trabajo al emigrar no es nada fácil. En España necesitas una formación o preparación para cualquier oficio que quieras hacer, desde pasear mascotas, ser niñera, incluso para limpiar pisos. Por eso he estado asistiendo a una formación de cocina y camarero de sala (o mejor conocido como mesonero) ya que son trabajos acá con muchas oportunidades. Cesal ONG es un Restaurante escuela para inmigrantes, refugiados, personas sin empleo y similares, que es costeado por el gobierno, y tuve la oportunidad de quedar en el curso para dar inicio en esta nueva etapa.
Mis primeras dos semanas fueron agotadoras pero estoy feliz, me ha tocado aprender por un lado nociones básicas de camarero y para ser solo el inicio puedo decir que lo he aprendido muy bien, desde preparar un café cremoso, servir una cerveza/vino de manera correcta, preparar las mesas y lo más complicado pienso que ha sido manejar la bandeja donde llevas la comida, mil respetos a los que hacen malabares porque aun no puedo colocar tantos vasos y platos juntos😅.
Por otro lado, en cocina he aprendio técnicas de corte, nombres de utencilios y algunos platillos españoles que es super importante, Exitaso para mí porque no sabía cocinar ni la propia comida Venezolana jaja🥲
Conocer personas con otras culturas ha sido un reto, Francéses, Dominicanos, pero la mayoría son refugiados Marroquíes que solo hablan árabe y la comunicación ha sido un poco difícil pero se ha logrado. Al final de cada clase nos dan un bocadillo o bocata de los mismos que preparamos diario (el esfuerzo se premia jaja). Ya luego les iré contando más, me emociona mucho ya que tengo que decidirme por uno de los dos oficios, ya que la formación se enfocará profundamente en el que más me guste. Esto es algo totalmente diferente y nuevo para mi, siempre he pensado que aprender y atreverse a algo que nunca imaginaste es un desafío pero que te abrirá siempre muchas puertas.
