It’s the end of the 90 days self-improvement phase 2 but have I really gained something these past 3 months?
One thing that I didn’t really consider is that when I attempt to change my life, something bound to happen and adjustment needs to be made. The first phase was really all about rewiring my core beliefs and eventually finding myself again. The second phase was the same except now, I am facing my fears, the fears to be found.
This first 90-day phase mainly was about fixing my mindset, fostering mental toughness,getting more clarity on my life, and feeling comfortable in my skin. So, the next part is all about continuing all the momentum but also putting many things I learned to practice and achieving tangible results, much like I have with my weight loss journey. I spent almost a decade in hiding. This space was meant to be my hideaway from the world I used to know. But I slowly recognized that I can’t always suppress the seemingly natural born skills I have. I am bound to attract people with what I know because I see what people don't typically see (there are variations of this that I heard a lot throughout the years) and as much as I spent more than half a decade trying to hide. I’ll eventually always find myself to the same position, where eventually people find me and I am always met with 2 options, leave or stay.
I don’t think most people get it but it’s like I tend to open doors that seemingly unlocked for others. When you know how to open “doors” you’re bound to draw some attention. I used to run away in the past, leaving things unfinished just because I hate the attention I was getting and sometimes it’s too cumbersome to explain it all.
I am not one to be afraid to start over. I’ve started over multiple times, navigating myself through different crowds and I always find ways to survive, made it to wherever I have to be. I find it pretty exhausting lately to scrap things because when you’re starting anew, everything has to be all new. Not only it is expensive it is also time consuming, emotionally draining as well. Then lately, I realized that It's like I am just bound to this kind of shit & instead of leaving, I faced my fears.
Anyhow, here I am about to draft another 90 days that this time I’ll focus on just 3 things. Comptia prep, working out and learning about data science. If the last phase was all about reading the bible and house projects, this one is more about re-vising what I already knew and perfecting them. Afterall, my main goal has been getting certified this year and I am getting so close to that.
I learned that sometimes the more I focus on things that don’t really give much impact to my life, the less likely I do it. My house project for example, it’s kind of natural by now and I find that I love cleaning/fixing things when I am getting a little frustrated of things and getting a bit angry when things don’t go my way. So, channeling on cleaning, fixing the house and whatever is necessary around the house has been a great mental exercise for me and better ideas to direct my excess energy.
These 3 months, there were many things happen at home that my weight stuck because I have to go back and forth to hospital more than I’d like. The only thing that really is working for me is my daily scripture and I’ve been getting closer to my faith more which is a good thing. What I’ve been eating has been a bit all over the place as well since I am often outside more than home. It strange isn’t it? because nowadays the price of eggs actually has been lowering and it’s such a great time to eat more eggs. Instead these days I skipped my egg habits 🤣 but I'll start over.
