What's buzzing, friends?
What would it be like to be eaten by a whale?
We imagine it would be a very surreal experience. You would be swimming along, minding your own business, when all of a sudden a giant mouth would open up and swallow you whole. You would be in complete darkness, surrounded by the whale's other foods and fish and water. We think it would be a dark and wet journey, but ultimately an interesting one.
If you are Michael Packard from Provincetown you would have a first-hand account for such a whale of a tale.
You see, Michael is a lobster fisherman and was diving for some lobster, when, in his own words: ...
“All of a sudden, I felt this huge shove, and the next thing I knew, it was completely black.”
He was eaten by a whale. Michael was in the belly of the beast for 30 to 40 seconds before the whale resurfaced and vomited him back out into the light.
Just imagine that for a second. You are just swimming along, then WAMP - a giant whale eats you up, you are in its mouth, getting squeezed and pushed around. Your life flashes before your eyes, fear sets in, then WAMP again - in a burp of digested fish, you’re back in the world. A bit confused, a bit smelly, but happy to be here. WOW, what a ride.

On Hive, we have whales as well - perhaps one of them will swim by and eat you one day too? Who knows... What we do know is that this week, we have a whale of an update about this week's articles, just a few lines below.
