I am back once again for another edition of #marketFriday.
If you have been following my posts, you'd be aware that my daughter and I love building memories together. I even have a tag for it on IG. #momndaughterbonding
Naturally, these moments are my most favorite. They're not all fancy or lavish. Sometimes, the simplest activities bring just as much joy. For today, I will feature two new places that we found at our neighborhood mall.
Cake Night
The first is this new place called Original Cake. What a well-thought out name, huh? LOL! We got curious and wondered what the hype was about. Unfortunately, during their soft opening, they ran out of cakes! Woot! Woot!
So, they sold cranberry crisps for the rest of that night. Since we're still curious, we decided to buy a pack. It contained around seven of these biscuits.
The good thing about this is that the contents are individually packed. I kinda liked that as it looked neater.
That's a macro shot of how it looked like once you open up an individual pack. It's one bite-sized portion of the cranberry crisp. How was it? It was really yummy! Kinda soft and chewy and flavorful. We'll definitely be looking forward to getting more of this next time.
We're happy that we finally got a chance to buy a cake at another time. They actually have different flavors, but we opted to try the classic. I guess if the classic is delicious, we could more or less infer that the rest would be yummy too.
That's what you get inside the box. It's just a small rectangular cake, but it's big enough for three people -- Mom, me, and my daughter.
Voila! There it is, ready to be sliced and eaten. It does remind me of a chiffon cake. I'm not a big fan of cake icing, so this one looks good to me.
Let's take a look at the cake from another angle. Mmmm... I like fluffy cakes. How about you? What I like about this cake is that it's not too sweet. It has a taste that you won't get tired of. Perhaps we should try the other flavors, but my daughter is not too open to that idea. For one, she doesn't like chocolate-flavored cakes. Tough, because chocolate cakes were my favorite from long ago.
Game Night
Here's a fascinating new stall at the mall. We were actually thinking it was a seasonal activity. It's still doing pretty well as of last week. There was a group of young people who were making a career of catching lots of these plushies.
There are practically two rows of these claw machines. Each one features a different kind of plushie. So choose the one/s you like then go for it. Try to catch as many as you could.
That is the automated machine where you can buy your tokens. Just insert your bills there, and the tokens come out of that opening with the yellow tray. As of last week, tokens are at ten Philippine pesos each (roughly around 0.20$ US Dollar).
I wanted one of those foxes. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to get one. They were all gone when we got back. But my daughter did get a plushie that she liked. Claw machines are fun. However, I leave the playing to my daughter, as she's way better at these games.
Well, that's it for this week's edition of #marketFriday.
Enjoy your second weekend of 2020! _
