The story about my two years Nigeria Pumpkin is something we have to face the talk. Oh yes, the pumpkin look two years ago, didn't give me the reason to believe that I'll see it again this year, but it was last year I started taking care of the pumpkin.
I planted the pumpkin last two years November, I used to take good care of the pumpkin through removal of unwanted weeds and pouring of water to it.
The good services I rendered to the pumpkin gave it a room to give out a fresh pumpkin leaf 🍀 known as ugu in Nigeria. Last two years, the pumpkin was among the source of income used to settle some bills especially for that of my children. Almost the whole soup 🍲 I used to cook used to come from the pumpkin leaf. You know, it's very important to the body especially for blood generation.
The continuous eating and selling of the pumpkin leaf made it go down without looking fresh anymore. Yes, I thought it was dead. The idea made me leave the pumpkin without given it care anymore.
It was last year August when I wanted to plant another pumpkin. When clearing the farm, I saw mouth of a pumpkin leaf 🍀 and this drew my attention to remember that it was the pumpkin planted two years ago.
When I saw that the pumpkin survived last two years to August last year, I started given it care by weeding, pouring of water, adding of manure from fowl dumb. The care was what made the pumpkin to come back to life.
As the old pumpkin started doing well because of the treatment. Early this year, there was three pumpkin seed covered by it shell that the pumpkin gave. I started taking good care of the pumpkin seeds, but with time, two seeds produced by the pumpkin died and I was left with one.
The remaining one seed of the pumpkin is what you can see through the picture shared. I planned to break the pumpkin seed, sell some, and plant some to my farm. I'll do this anytime I'll be harvesting the pumpkin seed.
