We live in an apartment house in the basement apartment with a backyard. This way we have the luxury of our own garden and an immediate access to the green area around the house.
On the southern side of the house there are five fruit trees planted by our neighbour who is our designated gardening expert.
One of these trees is a sour cherry.
Its branches are full of delicious cherries.
This morning my son and I picked some cherries to eat and, possibly, to make a marmalade.
There are still plenty fruits left on the tree. Passers-by are picking them constantly and enjoy in them.
Tomorrow I'll pick the fruits on the highest branches which are only reachable with a ladder.
We are truly blessed to have nature's treasures like these sour cherries in our reach.
Ps: in the row at the south side of the house, standing by the sour cherry tree, there are also two fig trees, a plum and an apple. All are more than full. I'll show you their fruits in future articles.
