Hello all hive friends. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend 🤗.
It finally happened! I mentioned last time how I wish to try the food in this Japanese Restaurant only walking distance away from home.
I thought, it will be nice if I take somebody with me. So I asked my sister, two brothers and the wife of one of them to come with me. So off we went.
The place is still adorned with red paper hearts. Maybe the whole month of February is a heart month. I will see it during my walks if next month, the hearts decors are down,
It isn't a big place inside only little tables for two. But because we were five. The nice lady put three tables together so all five of us can sit around one bigger table, sort of, than the rest.
If I brought my whole family in, the place will be really full, haha, and couldn't accomodate more people.
Its walls are painted black which should be alright if they have bigger space. If I were the owner I'd paint the walls with light color for a bigger space "feel".
There are artworks on the walls, simple but I must say, they go very well with the dark walls. They're kind of shining on the walls. Very attractive 🤩.
I like the first one the most with the saying, "Family is where your story begins". I was glad that I took part of my family with me 😁.
Time to pick which dish to order... I have chosen Udon noodles. Why? Because the first time I had tried Udon noodles which was in Singapore, it was really really delicious. Since then I had been dreaming of this chunky type of noodles.
The three ordered the same as my order and one ordered ramen. And we tried their avocado maki as well. Anyways, I was a bit disappointed with the noodles. I still love udon but it was quite loaded with over tasty sauce that we needed to drink gallons of water after 😂.
In fairness, the makis were delicious but I hope they use less of that mayo thing on top. I know they're being generous but for me I much prefer the "less is more" rule of thumb particularly on sauces and seasonings.
Am I going back there again? I don't know. I like cooking and I love home cooked food better. Maybe when I'm craving for Japanese food. But it was great to be able to spend time with the four.
That's all for now hive friends...
Thanks for noticing and taking time to read this post. Enjoy the weekend 🌻🌻🌻.
