If you've been following my photo journal, you will notice that many of my subjects are different types of leaves. My usual way of taking my photos is showing the top surface of the leaves and the things on them, like water dews or insects.
Yesterday, I got a suggestion from to take a photo of the underneath of the leaves. I really like her suggestion and so I thought of giving it a try. Earlier this morning, I went for a walk and revisited the plants that I use for the subject. This time, I placed my phone under the leaves and took snaps. Since it's too low on the ground, I can't really check the composition of the photo until I'm done shooting the photo.
Awesome! I was really surprised to see the result. I never thought the photos will give a new understanding of how I can use light to make the subject even more interesting.

While I'm on a photo walk, I also took photos of different leaves along the way. Here they are:
