Several years ago, we visited family in Southern California. They were so gracious to take us sightseeing.
But first, they wanted to show us where they worked at the Port of Long Beach. It's located about 2 miles southwest of downtown Long Beach, California. They were extremely proud to show us this port. It's the second largest container port in the U.S. and a major gateway of trade between the U.S.-Asian trade market. Careers as longshoremen have been in family for over 75 years.
It was a beautiful, clear day, and we had a nice time visiting Southern California.
