Here's a picture of me I pulled from my files, since I know so many of you have been exceedingly anxious to see my extraordinarily, sexy body😍
Okay...Okay... So I morphed it just a wee bit, isn't that allowed anymore online...??? Geeeeezzzzzzzz…!!!
Anyway...If you MUST see the REAL me in the original photo I manipulated to be more impressive, scroll down and take a gander.
Not too bad for a 60 or 61 year old, huh? Yeah, you read that correctly...that photo is of me, nine or ten years ago. I don't even have a more recent body shot of me because I'm not very vain, but I look pretty much the same now that I'm 70 (Muscle wise, at least)
My hair has more grey and my beautiful face might sag a little more, but hey … if you need perfection to please your critical, envious eyes, then I'll photo shop all the future pics of me🙃
In case you can't tell, those shades and the goatee on my face is not real. I added them to further disguise my true identity to make it a little harder for trolls to out me easily.
That impromptu photo was taken while I was on a home renovation project some years back, before I retired. It also was after a lengthy layoff from the gym, so I was not even at my best shortly after a few months of steady training.
Here's another picture of me, around the same period
So, as you can see, it IS possible to retain, or gain a higher level of muscularity and fitness in our senior years.
I've been accused of being an "exception to the rule" for a variety of reason...but, I'm NOT... Most people my age can remarkably transform their body in the same way, should they choose to.
I know that most people aren't interested in developing the same degree of muscularity that I prefer, so that makes it even more of a possibility to add some strength and size. A general fitness routine performed two to four days a week, on a consistent basis, is all you need.
A few other things that greatly help, is to perhaps change your dietary habits, include some nutritional supplements, eliminate excessive booze and...Believe
I'm planning to continue these 'health and fitness' articles on my blog for a while longer in order to help anyone interested in physical, self-improvement, especially those of us who are well past our "prime".
I'll be suggesting a simple weight training protocol (at a fitness center) for you to follow, get into technique, duration of sessions, some nutritional advice and stuff like that...
Laying it out in bits and pieces, I think, makes it more digestible than throwing the whole shebang at people in one, longggggggggg, drawn out boring post.
I never overloaded peoples heads with information in a single session when I was training them at my gym years ago and that's still my style.
Listen, my friends...never give up on yourself... You're truly never too old to improve, change and conquer adversity in your life.
I wish you well.
