Good Day Good People. i have a bit of a mix for you today.
Vegan Chocolate Chip Muffins
No recipe this time (but here is one from a couple of days ago) because today i just quickly made up a batch of muffins as i was feeling peckish. They only took me ten minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to bake.
i didn't have (or look for) a recipe so i just threw some ingredients in a bowl, mixed them together with a spoon and popped them in the oven.
They baked and rose very nicely but could definitely have been a bit sweeter, although Mum said she liked hers (but she may not have remembered eating it half an hour previously!).
The muffins were quite nice, especially with a glass of coconut milk to wash them down.
Over the next few days i (and Mum) will probably eat the rest with some #vegan coconut yoghurt sweetened with maple syrup.
Next time, probably in a few days, i'll make another batch and add extra stevia (no sugar in my cakes) for more sweetness, weigh the ingredients and take pictures as i go.
Heartland
About 3 years ago i began to watch a Netflix series called Heartland. It's about a family living at a ranch (named Heartland) near Hudson in Canada.
The main character Amy is a horse whisperer.
A horse whisperer is essentially someone who has a very intuitive connection with horses, and can be trusted in the careful training of horses, even those traumatized in the past by whatever means. Horse whisperers are very intimate horse trainers. Source
In the first season Amy becomes quite famous following an incident which got in the press and she was dubbed The Miracle Girl.
There are often both sad and heart warming moments in most if not all of the episodes. Tears come to my eyes usually every time i watch an episode.
i'm now watching the latest season and am up to Episode 8 (of 15) in Season 16.
i really like #Heartland a lot and highly recommend it. Watching Heartland has been a #healing experience for me.
Will you watch Heartland too?

Just Do It, You'll thank me!
Heartland is full of the ups and downs of family life which of course include the often challenging relationships between parents and thier children, especially between fathers and sons.
Yesterday i went to visit my son. We've certainly had some challenging times over the years and were estranged for several years due to me not being a very good father. i think i am now though, mostly because nearly twenty years ago i began to wake up from this #DreamOfLife after discovering spirituality, quitting my job and business and began travelling the world and taking many #SelfImprovement courses and trainings on the way.
I also visited my daughter and her family yesterday. Two of my grandsons wanted me to play Cheat (a card game) with them and produced a pack of golden cards.
It was fun. i won the game, but i cheated!
Presence
What is Presence?
Presence, from what i have come to think/feel, is being mindful, being aware of and keeping attention in the present moment, here and now, as opposed to drifting off into thoughts of the (apparent) past or future.
Being in the present moment, being mindful, helps to set the conditions which are more conducive for the Presence of Holy Spirit to come.
" ... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. ... ” (Galatians 5:22-23).
"To me, the expressions “Holy Spirit” and “Mindfulness” both point to the same thing—something that is very concrete, that is available [to] us in the here and the now, and not just an idea, a notion."
Excerpt from a dharma Talk given by Thich Nhat Hanh on July 20, 1998 in Plum Village, France.

One of the many #mindfulness trainings i have completed over the years is The Presence Process Procedure (PPP).
i'm currently doing it for approximately the tenth time and am on week 2 (of 10). It is meticulously instructed in the book called The Presence Process. The author Michael Brown refers to it as an Emotional Integration journey.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Each time i read it and follow the procedure, i am reminded of what a phenomenal peice of work this is, indeed it is a Gift to Humanity.
i feel much gratitude for #ThePresenceProcess coming into my life. i have recommended it to many people over the last ten years and quite often receive messages of gratitude from those who had the courage to read and complete the PPP. Here is one:
How about you, will you do read The Presence Process and do the PPP?
Just Do It, You'll thank me!
