The Acehnese call this cake by the name boh rom-rom, while this cake looks like a klepon that is sold in the market. Boh rom-rom is often a dish to break the fast during Ramadan in Aceh, not only that the cake that melts in the mouth is also often served when there is a celebration or when it's time to relax.
The ingredients:
- 100 grams of glutinous rice flour
- 20 grams of hot water
- 20 grams of cold water
- 100 grams of brown sugar (sliced)
- 2 pandan leaves
- 75 grams of grated coconut (steamed with a pinch of salt)
the manufacturing steps:
- First, add the coconut milk, wheat flour and pandan leaves
- Then stir until it combines the coconut milk and flour
- Then take a little dough, form like the photo below and after that filled with brown sugar / white.
- Put it in boiling water, let it float
- Remove and drain into grated coconut
